Lovin that cr.LP xx EX Tenshin set-up! That’s probably one of the best ways to land Tenshin on characters like Ryu and Guile.
Watching the daigo match with Evans shows great high level play. But it’s depressing to see how a sound defense and mainly standing high block can neutralize alot of fei’s attacks in the corner. Eliminates the overhead and forces to play low hitting footies. Unfortunately we know ryu had the better cr. mk footies into specials :(. Risk versus reward is not in fei’s favor since you get single melee damage… And in a hands of a mind reader like daigo who will see a melee poke coming… It’s fadc into ulra or a crapload of plasma or high damaging combos 
Makes me wish fei had a cr. Mk into special move. But then I can see him be broke. Oh well. Will still main fei with a passion. Long live fei long!!!
What’s more depressing is your negativity, not the 5-5 Ryu matchup even with Daigo behind the wheel.
Isnt it a 6-4 match now? I still feel its 5-5 but some tier list have it 6-4 in favor of Fei.

I’d say no, both characters have an even avenue to victory. I’ve played so many Ryus to know that once it devolves into a poking game it gets real heated and it becomes anyone’s game.
I think its 6-4 personally.

I feel its 5-5. I can see it being 6-4 Ryu as he has more options into his super and Ultra but I do think its a 5-5. If the AE update hits home consoles that will change more to Fei’s favor as Ryu wont be able to use his hurricane kick to escape corners an more.
Yep, I think I posted that a bit farther back. It removes a big hurdle to our game, it might even shift the advantage for us in the Akuma matchup as well.

Fei v Ryu is 5-5. Ryu can lame it out when he needs to and force Fei to play dangerously to get in. On the other hand, Fei can shut down Ryu’s jumping offensive approach (no ambiguous cross-ups and no Tatsu xx Super) with U2 and neutralize fireball usage with EX CW.
That basically brings the main fight down to footsies range. Ryu can out-footsies Fei with cr.MK xx Hadouken, while Fei can poke with Rekkas, Focus, and turn up the pressure juice without worrying about a surprise counter-ultra. Of course, getting in will be tough so it’s Ryu’s game when he can keep Fei out. It’s Fei’s game when he can poke his way in.
Don’t forget that you can punish a whiffed cr.MK from Ryu with a cr.HP. It all comes down to space.

6-4 Fei. Like the Honda matchup. Just because its hard to play doesn’t mean its not in your favor. With Solid footsies Fei just has to many ways to wreck Ryu at the mid range which is Ryus Comfort zone.
I’d stick with the 5-5 theory. Ryu can just hold back and pretty much deal with anything Fei can throw it him. If that’s the players style that is. When the air Tatsu nerf comes in, then it might swing a little, who knows.

Wow I just learned so much stuff about Rufus. EX Chicken Wing can beat Rufus’s Ultra 2, and Ultra 1 can punish Rufus backdash after an FADC EX Messiah (blocked of course)
