Probably not I was in detroit all the way up until like 5 yrs ago. There arent many people who seem to care about fighting games outside of Anderson in South Carolina. I remember marvel was kinda jumpin in Columbia in 02 but all the locals seem to have moved on. Prob because the putt-putt has a bad reputation now.
Charleston has a pretty good scene now too - back in the day, the upstate was pretty much it, but Charleston has developed in the past 5 years or so. Columbia had a scene back in the 90’s, but it dwindled away after the Dutch Square and Columbia Center arcades shut down.

I have been in touch with the NEW yes NEW owner of the Virtual Reality Room inside Underground Atlanta for the past 2 weeks ok.
Well this young man is willing to get a list of arcade games (4 at the most) to bring back buisness to this location.
Im trying very hard to draw up yet another great presentation to get this ball rolling because i have also been given permission to host local tournaments (Possibally after final round) at the Underground IF, I can prove that these games that are chosen will benefit the games room and the tournament scene.
Basically the man wants to make money and I need to sugar it up sweet enough to get the games WE (as in ATL ) Wont to play at Underground Atlanta.
Ok what I need from you guys is a list of Games you are interested in playing while at this arcade or any other (Fighting Game only)
Also please make sure these games are actually in a Arcade verison, Like dont say SC3 and there is no known cabinent for it you fill me this is really serious.

Next I need to find a way to get info on 3 specific games CvS2, 3rd Strike,Tekken 5 DR.
The info Im looking for is like, mass turnouts for these games at other tournaments, umm tourny results like EVO or battle Super Opera, Im not asking you all to find this, Im asking you all to Point me in the direction so I can get these things myself and start building my presentation.

T5:DR is too new to give an estimated profit margin, but you can pretty much guarantee that a machine at VR will get played hardcore.
CVS2 and 3rd Strike will make WAY more money than they will cost - the hard part is finding them. We got our 3rd Strike board in Anderson for 300 bucks and put it in a 200 cab, and it ended up making its money back in just a few months. You’re only looking at less than a grand a piece to get them in there.
If you want my opinion, besides redemption (ticket) games, any new arcade needs T5:DR, Initial D (preferably version 3), and some type of DDR machine - most specifically In The Groove 2. Dude wants to make a profit? Get those 3 games. It’ll cost about 25 grand to get all 3 together, but it would most definitely be worth it.
