So this is something I found out tonight while I was streaming. Basically you can cross-up mid-air combo with a Teacup before you hit the floor and it staggers the opponent standing. The best thing about it is you can control it and stop it from crossing up. It’s very ambiguous. Tested and works on all characters. I’ll try and release a video for it comprising everything that it is able to do tomorrow. I am able to kill at 1.00x with 1 reset and 1 meter.
You basically do your basic combos and as soon as you launch you press LP as soon as you’re able to. From there wait a bit and do Teacup drop. It will hit them on the opposite side as soon as they hit the floor. Best thing is that you can do the Teacup drop anytime you like so you can make it drop and hit them in front or behind. Huge game changer. It’s easiest to do on Cerebella and you can add in a 2hit j.MK then do the Teacup drop and it will still work. You can also cross opponents up underneath with Barrel drop and Demon Fridge Drop.
@14:40 - I do it for the first time with HK, j.MP, j.MK, 214LP. This method still needs to be tested, but everything works fine with LP as stated above. I also do the cross-up Barrel drop shortly after.
@32:50 - Do it mid-combo, showing for example.
The rest of the video shows how I perform it on all the characters, different situations you can use it in, and me taking it online and performing it during matches. The whole video is an informative watch. I will be releasing a video hopefully by Friday showcasing this after further testing. Please support me and subscribe to my stream.
I’m getting it on Fortune somewhat consistently, seems the only input that really matters is the first j.LP. I can delay a bit or a whole lot, as long as I get that j.LP out quick it will cross up.
Harder on Double because of shape of blue hitbox and weight, harder on Parasoul because of shape of blue hitbox, and harder on Ms. Fortune since she she falls a bit lighter than the others.
Painwheel’s is nothing like this, and is not nearly as effective.
For one, the opponent has a lot more options to hit Painwheel out of hers then they do against Double, and secondly, Painwheel can’t choose which side she wants to do her reset on.
