What other secret moves are there that’s not listed in the manual?
Don’t know, but on the other hand, I’m pretty damned stumped on the use of 2 moves, specifically Gohan’s Energy Charge super and Chi-Chi’s d, u+P skilltree move. I did figure out that the L version of Energy Charge gives you a slight damage boost, but I can’t figure out what H version does, and the ingame description on the latter move only states that the fan is “used to swirl up a giant wind” when it does no such thing.
Oh my word. I so need to get this freaking game! Watched the video review at GameSpot (gave it a 7.3) and I was in awe. I’m sure some of the DBZ fans will be ticked that the roster is short compared to past DBZ games. Even I’m irked that Kid Buu isn’t in, but Majin Vegeta, Perfect Cell, Demon King Piccolo and Chi-Chi are in the game, so I’m stoaked!
SF in a DBZ game. Man, that’s like sooooo perfect. So do we have an honest to goodness competitive DBZ fighter? OK, so it probably won’t be at Evo '07 but I’m guessing hardcore fighting fans may even dig it. The camera angle isn’t all screwed up like it was in Budokai Tenkichi and the flying looks so cool.
I know everyone hates GamePro but they gave the game a 4.5/5. That and all reviews I’ve seen on the game have been positive. But then, I always play stuff myself because I’ve got a good idea of what I’ll like and what I won’t like. And I have a feeling I’ll REALLY like this game. I never did buy myself a birthday present…
I bought the game yesterday… I did about 10 stores to find it and the only store that did have it was right next to my house haha. But yea, I didnt play for long because i had things to do but i can truly say that this DBZ game is pretty good. And im not a fan of budokai i hated the series because of the style and stuff. so yea, i havent played a DB game in a freakin’ while until SDBZ. U feel right away that its different i just cant wait until me and my friends get good cuz the matches are so fast and exciting. therefore i think u guys should pick this game up for sure.
btw, wheres GOTEN ???
Not only is this a fun and decently deep fighter, but it does the whole 2D style play in 3D very very well. I’ve dropped every other game I play since I got my hands on this, heh.
It’s a very good first step. Here’s hoping that this series continues and grows even better.
I got this game about an hour ago and played for 30 minutes or so. The fighting engine is good but there is pretty much nothing else to do in the game. Just fight the NPC over and over to upgrade your guy. I won’t get to play the game 2 player until Saturday but at the moment I’m feeling like I should have rented this isntead.

Well, i dont know what chi-chi combos you are talkin about so imma assume by postin what i know.
Chi-Chi-
6W,Homing Attack, Unfly+Strong, Land, Jump+Strong, Jump+Strong, Land, Weak, Strong, QCF W/S x3. Explanation below.
6W, Homing Attack(W+Block) , now this is the tricky part, Hold forward a little, wait a split sec , then unfly+Strong… not together tho but hit it as fast so it seems that way, like 1,2. now you land, then do Jump+Strong same rhythm as you did with unfly+strong. then you jump+strong again, land , weak, strong, qcf s, qcf s, qcf s.
Her other combos is the same as the top one but you omit the 2nd Jump+Strong part of the combo and add weak, strong, super. I believe you have to upgrade to have that super, if i remember.
Anything else?

You can do Instant Transmission while Goku is charging his kamehaha. You gotta learn the IT onyour card first though.

man somebody give me a vid on why Trunks can’t fuck with Freezer and ill keep my mouth shut. been watching the matches, and it seems everyone has their own mix-ups. Is it just blatantly obvious of Frieza’s mixups vs. everyone else’s? Or are ppl just jumping the gun and has no human opponents to get good at the game with? Give it time.
This game is good for a first but still needs a hellava lot of work. They should add low attacks and have sidesteping like Tekken. Needs a guard crush and some other stuff that i have forgot at the moment.
So i was in practice just finding out some things and here is a few(so all of these are with no skill tree enhancment or whatever and only the starting 15).
Universal combos:
-Dash S, dash W, weak homing, ultimate.
-dash S, dash W, weak homing, strong homing.(needs all 4 action bars)
Intrestingly android 18’s dash S,dash W, weak homing, rush attack(sorry, forgot the motion) is stronger than her dash S, dash W, weak homing, ultimate.
a random Buu combo:
Dash S,dash W, weak homing, QCB W/S*, W, land, QCB W/S, Explosion(ultimate)
*The hurricane dash should hit twice.
Intrestingly, while doing the combo you look like you are forming a square motion and at the ultimate, the opponent pops out of the square. Thats why i call it the jack-in-the-box combo 
EDIT: i forgot to mention that the Buu combo does 115 damage
No, it’s does not. All she does is wave her fan uselessly and that’s it, perioid. It does not hit the opponent or create anything that could do that. Mind you, she does have another fan move in her skilltree I didn’t learn yet which I assume to have an immediately obvious use, but this one sure as hell doesn’t.
Freeza’s mix-ups are made of his projectiles (his double generic ki blasts, flex laser which has vertical tracking, cutter which has horizontal tracking), his unblockable special and his teleport.
The deciding factor of Freeza’s superior mix-ups is his unblockable special (the one where he traps his opponent in a ball). It executes quickly and has decent melee range. If you fight Freeza at close range, it can be very easy to get caught in it. If you’re poking at Freeza, ALWAYS end in a strong homing dash. I’ve seen so many examples of people poking incorrectly, then getting thrown into his unblockable special. Plus, it deals a nice amount of damage.
Alright guys, if you haven’t played this game yet, do it ASAP! I’ve had the PAL version for a few days (which freezes quite often:sad;) but it’s alot of fun. You can choose a character to customize by gaining Battle Points(BP) by fighting in story and ZSurvivor; each character has a skill tree like Diablo that can be used after levelling up. Basically, it’s a really fun game with lots of replay value. I’m going to have to get my hands on a US version, because, as I said before, the PAL version freezes randomly during certain circumstances. For example, playing with vegeta will cause the game to freeze. I also found that if you ar Trunks, using his 2nd custome against Chi-Chi, the game will always freeze at the end of a amatch. Lame…

If you want hidden features and whatnot, some chains have an optional JF input that changes the hit’s effect. Known examples include Goku’s LHH and Trunks’ LLHH: former causes an explosion when JFed and juggles the enemy instead of just knocking them down, while latter causes a normal knockdown instead of an unjuggable spinning one, allowing the move to be followed up with a homing attack for example.
