teio has been updating lately…I’m waiting for the red freeza and otherfreeza guys to start uploading again.
I actually do make random visits to Houston to play some games, so I’d be down for some games if anyone actually plays Super DBZ.
I don’t know anyone there that actually plays the game seriously tho, other than Mag-X (Chris, MvC2 player), but he was from SA and recently moved back to his home town.

I tried so hard to do a scene for this game so much, and it just fails to attract. People where I m stationed is so close-minded, and oblivious to half of the stuff released around them they throw it outside their heads. So basically I given up on trying to help that game because it was probably the 3rd decent dbz game next to Legends and Super Dimension. I mean I could hold a Mario Kart tournament (sarcasm:arazz:) and probably get more entries. If it only was a Super Dragon Ball game with Lil Goku. It would have done pretty good. Well, it did for a lil while, but it just sparked maybe a few months worth of interest.
A DB game would have fit the mechanics so well. DBZ is too fast paced. Honestly they shoulda done that 1st then proceeded to do a DBZ game sequel. I guess when push came to shove it just wasn’t DBZ enough, and it didn’t really do anything special for fighters, too. So I will sell my copy of SDBZ today to gamecrazyX:sad:. But I will say my final goodbyes to it by playing the shit out of it before 7 pm hits.
All I can do now is wait to see if Crafts & Meister will advance to do a sequel, or just play random blue moon casuals with someone who owns it.

People in japan still play a2 and they hate that game. I believe they had a tourney for a2 a few months ago.

Well I’ll definitely play it competitively no problem. I’m just not gonna be the one to host it. Or own it. Screw that. I made a website, changed my myspace, and even offered prizes to attract peeps from SRK in TX and in Galveston. But yet I got no hits on my site or anywhere else I advertised. So fuck it. Someone else buy the game, ans start where I left off. lol
Erm… I actually got some people playing here in my town kind of easy.
But I’m not too sure how you actually did help the SDBZ scene if your not able to show to, well, any Houston tournaments at all.
I remember you tried hosting tournaments on the game, but they were at rather bad locations, and to make matters worse it was the only game you were hosting. In general, it just was not going to work.
I don’t recall seeing any prizes that were rewarded, but the way it was advertise… hm… I don’t know if it could’ve gone anywhere.

I doubt I’ll be able to host a Super DBZ tournament at the tournament I’m hosting due to the large list of games on the list. However, something may be arrange…
If you can, try to get on AIM later tonight. See if we can work something out in trying to get Super DBZ going at my tournament.

Yeah pretty much I agree with you on all points. But I was workig at Academy around the time I actually tried to get shit together…but it was a temporary gig so no money to actually do more.
Well Pozer first off Im in a bad location (bottom of the map literally)+I myspace advertise+Your more suited to host than me. Even if I did get shit together…THE NIGGAS…and YES THEY ARE NIGGAS AS IN UNEDUCATED are way more unorganized than I’ll ever be in my entire existance so it wasn’t gonna work out on my end. I tried believe it or not it’s up to you. I tried damnnit. Btw I barely see Tarzan anymore so I couldn’t get transportation to those tournaments.
p.s. I think I’m getting a job at a power plant through my brother so, I might get some real cash coming in soon so I can get mez a nice vehicle so I can start traveling with y’all. Anyhow yeah I’ll be there just gimme some mapquest stuff so I know where to go.

Had to travel out of town to host tournaments in a town I did not live in, and they all really well.

That’s right, I’m going to revive this thread in order to link a video. I found this video off GameFAQs. The combos are actually really good. My only gripes are that the combo maker focuses too heavily on wall combos (all combos are performed in training room) and he will end a combo with 3 supers in a row just to get extra damage.
