god i love that combo that piccolo can do where he does the launch, beam cannon then special beam cannon from the last vid. It does so much damage for just 3 hits. I think some of the trunks matches have convinced me to pick him up too since my friend who used to play the game with me had a nice one. Have you posted up any trunks and chi chi matches like you did the others yet?

Also does anyone have any advice on what to do about fuckin 16’s light attack? The little nubby kick that he does cause i have problems doing stuff about it especially when the person I play spams the hell out of it.

The characters can only hold but so many of a particular move or ability which is indicated by the color…I used to know exactly what it was but i forget myself. When you reach that limit it replaces i think the last ability that you picked up or in the case of inherited skills, the other inherited skill if that spots already been taken. I’m probably not making a lick of sense ccause i’m having trouble trying to explain it…maybe someone else can take a crack at it?

DBZ Dragon Finishers

Practice Alpha countering it on point. You dont have to buy it’s bulit in the fighting engine. But the timing is very strict. By the way peeps I found out the easy way to do the Piccolo Mabu Rebirth. It seems to have the Raising Storm syndrome. Anyway it’s Back, Forward, then afterwards do 360x2 from the forward into back, forward then both attack buttons. You all try it to see if it works for you as well it seems to do perfect for me.

Also even though the dragon finishers are probably impractical and impoosible to even think about doing in a match I realized with super cancel you can combo into the dragon finishers. If you don’t know what the dragon finishers are here they are:

there will be more later. Hey, sonichuman, if you do own the game which version do you have pal or ntsc? if you got ntsc just get pal or japanese version (same thing). Half of the throwed stuff on the vids you can’t do on the ntsc version.

Like Piccolo’s jumping Heavy doesn’t juggle. Goku’s tornado kick doesn’t juggle. A lot of stuff was taken out on the NA version of this game which is why a lot of people probably got turned off by the gameplay. Ntsc version sucks ass through a straw.

Also for all of the Goku players I think that Goku might have an infinite in a corner with his buffer into tornado kick. I saw it in one of the Metalknuckle vs. Blackfrieza matches. In this one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=x6I7ln918u4&mode=related&search=
It seemed like he could not get it off or I could be wrong. And he only did that for extra damage.

16, Cell, Goku, Gohan, and Chi-Chi archives will up soon. I will have an archive for each character when I’m done by the end of the week. But I will see if I can find more on Piccolo. The rest you all will have to find some or create on your own. If I do make it to Evolution 2k7 will any1 be up to any casuals? Hopefully I can make it there b4 it’s too late.

oh ho ho…no he does plenty of things from it it’s just that he spams the hell out of it because it’s so good and he uses it to buffer into his throw or whatever. It’s just annoying cause it comes out quicker than anything i can put out so just when i think he’s done trying to spam it and is gonna try to actually move on to something else…i get hit with the nubby kick…-_-…can I retaliate if he actually goes through with the 4 hit combo? cause the last 2 hits of it feel like they push me out of range for anything to catch him in the stun…and there’s plenty of times he just Okey doke’s into a super after it and i’m already in the motion to try to punish X.X

just test it. I’ve gotten somewhat bored of playing since no one plays so I just test the strings of every character against my 17 and set the 17 to L after a block or hit or knockdown and you see what combos aren’t safe so which ones you can punish. yea, really helps.

Just wondering if there is an FAQ out there that tells you what abilities you can inherit from what (like for example if I want Guard Cancel, who can I learn that from, etc). GamesFAQ does very little justice on this, so I’m wondering where I can gain this info.

Someone wrote up each character’s skill tree, but it disappered from the board.
Off the top of my head, you can get guard cancel from Piccolo or Chi-Chi.

Well, I got some questions…

1-) Why can’t I cancel Goku’s shoryuken into an homing dash? I see it all the time yet I’m unable to pull it off. Is it sometime of ability?

2-) How do I 'cause Goku’s QCB+L/H follow up (the H version) to bounce. Do I need wall slam for that?

3-) How come my L Homing whiffs whenever I do L,L,H,Hxx L Homing with Trunks, yet I see people on the vids do that as Trunks BnB?
Am I miss timing it or is it some sort of ability?

not a dp, that’s a just frame in his LHH, same deal for Trunks, delay the last hit to do it

hurricane bounces if you have wall slam and if you’re high enough

  1. you are cancelling out of the last H in L,H,H. Many normals and strings have points where you can cancel the attack into a homing attack (don’t know what the term is called, heh). Very useful in making seemingly unsafe moves/strings safer.

  2. Yes, you need Wall Slam for that.

  3. You have to get the just frame for L,L,H,H to have a juggleable state. There are two ways you can tell if you get the just frame. One, the opponent doesn’t spin after the last H (spinning is a tell-tale sign that no more combo potential exists for a move) and 2, you hear a crashing sound (like glass breaking or something). The timing’s not too hard. It’s a little later than you would expect. The way I think of it is that the second H is juggling off of the knee from the first H (the first H is a knee that floats the opponent a little bit. I just pretend I’m juggling off it, heh. It worked pretty well till I got the actual timing down).

Well Endive, Solar Flare, and the Androids’ kick super pretty much perform the same fuction.
