I got a question…is it possible to have more than 8 extra abilities for your character? I have seven with my Cell and I only see room for one more, but I’m wondering if I can still ask the dragon for new stuff even after the 8 spots are full? possible?
Wow I just learned the Spirt Bomb with Goku and holy shit is it Powerful, epscially when your turned SSJ. Quite hard to hit someone with it though unless your in the corner and do a knock up into it.
You can do a ff+H~spirit bomb and it will catch them while the bomb is growing, BUT (yes theres always a but) it takes less damage than a fully powered spirit bomb fro the ground, but hey; guaranteed damage is guaranteed damage right.
About the 17 thing. Like someone said he doesn’t have a good projectile as it has quite a long start up and not the best recovery. His L homing dash throw is great because after that you could bait him into blocking by doing the motion of his ultimate but just jump over him, fly and drop~H for a cross up, followed by one of his combonations XX Ultimate. As long as you keep close, 17 can be deadly.
Now about 16, i haven’t gone into his skill tree yet but i love how he recovers sooner than the opponent flies out of his super (the QCFx2 L/H one), so, if you get the timing right, can j.H, ff+L, L Homing, QCFx2 L/H. You can also do ff+L~QCFx2 H, f+jump, LL XX QCFx2 H. I don’t know if you can L homing dash after that though. Also on his third 360 throw, when the opponent gets throw out of the way(after the initial throw damage is done) the opponent bounces back up like they would with an ff+H attack but i haven’t had much luck trying L homing dash after it, maybe someone might have a bit more luck.
I am currently working Cell and damn his projectile game is amazing. Interrupter=Best.Counter.Ever. His Judgement is nice but if you miss the first hit it’s damage is pretty crap >_>.
I have no idea why i am doing this but i am trying to get a 100 damage combo with everyone. I did one with trunks…but i forgot it. If you want to try it (lol) and you do get a 100 damage combo with someone be sure to list the damage it was on and if your skill tree has an a atk up or something and all combos must be done on Goku (I’ trying to find out who has the same defence as Goku, if you want to find out a 100 damage combo with him but bare with me.)
I’m having trouble trying to stick to a character.
Vegeta, Chichi, or Juuhachigou (#18).
Really I’m teetering towards Chichi, but I can’t get the hang of those fly / unfly combos at all.

Do you mean 100%, or just 100 damage? Are ultimates allowed?
unfly combos aren’t too hard. to make it easier for me to learn I got used to pressing Light+Block twice after launching, fast. it justmakes things a little simpler as far as button presses are concerned, and it still cancels the homing attack. So for an unfly combo I just do, launch, L+B, L+B, Unfly~H or L (depending on what combo you want to do). practice makes perfect.
Just 100 damage. Basiclly anything is allowed as long as you list it; you can change the damage, set your skill tree etc. But anything that could potentially change the damage must be listed. Oh and when in practice do the combos on Goku WITHOUT a character card, just to make sure.
That sounds like it could work.

I asked this question at dustloop, but I guess no one there knows the answer to my question. Has anyone been able to launch people with Piccolo’s air heavy attack, and if so, how did you and what version of the game are you playing on (american or japanese)? It doesn’t seem Piccolo players are doing anything special in the videos when they do it, but I can’t do it for the love of god.
I can do it, and I’m playing the PAL version.
When you do it, I assume the opponent just hits the ground and does not bounce at all.
That’s cool but there are combos possible wtih character cards using moves that aren’t available to the regular character.
You have to time a 66 L after the bounce from the j. H to launch. It’s not hard at all after some practice.

Hmmmm. When I do it, the enemy doesn’t bounce at all. So I don’t know how could be a timing issue. Could it be a skill??
I think all you have to do is have an inherited skill. And wolf fang fist isn’t worth it IMO, compared to other inheritable skills. Counter break, flex laser, hurricane dash, flame pillar and interruptor are probably the best.

Nope, it’s not a wall smash. You can link air HA into launcher anywhere. You see it all the time in the japanese match videos.
Yeah, you guys are right about 17. He really isn’t a projectile character unless you let him inherit a projectile skill from someone. He’s still fun to use, though.
Videl seems like a much weaker version of 17. She’s even got one of 17 and 18’s throws but she’s still got enough to her so she doesn’t feel like a clone of 17. She’s a close range fighter for sure. She does have one up close move that screams of Chun-Liness, but the recovery time on it is awful so if the opponent blocks or they side step it, she’s screwed.
I like being able to use different swords with Ultimate Gohan. I’m guessing the Z-Sword is more powerful but I can tell that he swings slower with it. The sword he starts with from default isn’t as long as the Z-Sword but he swings are a lot quicker with it. Any Ultimate Gohan users, which sword do you stick with?
Also anyone got any good jump-in combos or are those mostly a no-no in this game?
It’s not a skill. I was just doing it with my picolo and i don’t got nothing for him.
I love the interruptor it’s a great move. I have it on 3 of my 6 cards.

I thought maybe it might be a version difference, but I guess you have the american version as well…LOL, I must be doing something wrong then but that’s hard to believe. -_-
