Monster Hunter World
AT Kulve siege runs for some Kjaar weapons, for the duration of the Appreciation Fest, lol.
God Eater 2: Rage Burst
Randomly playing through whatever rank 15 missions.
Mainly to get in the mood for God Eater 3 release stuffs.
Kinda wanted to make a new char; I main/run [Charge Spear / Blast Gun], was thinking [Variant Scythe + Sniper Gun], but whatever.
Downwell: The trailer got me curious to check this game out. Apparently it originally released back in 2015. The Switch version dropped in late January. The 2.99 price tag made the decision to purchase this game easier but I would have paid more with how much of a blast this game is. At first I thought it was just a SHUMP where you go down a well but there this is also a platformer. You shoot to position yourself as you fall and shoot the enemies that you canāt jump on. The badies you can stomp out can be used to make a combos and its so much fun to see how long you can keep a combo going. My highest combo is 10 since Iām still new at the game. I love the little bonuses like different pallets to unlock.
Tempest 4000: This game is awesome. Each time I play, I get a better high score. My only complaints is that it can be hard to see when thereās a lot of stuff blowing up and that the game isnāt on the Switch.
I almost pulled the trigger on Downwell since I was waiting for the DMC V demo, but I think orochizoolander fucked it up for me, because it was one of the hundreds of indieās he would talk about a few years back.
Gonna try later this month to fire up Shenmue 2 again, but Iām going to concentrate on Pokemon Letās Go since Iām āwaaaaaaaay behindā according to my friends. Gotta catch up. Been doing Might Gunvolt Burst and Megaman 3 in between Fortnite, Pokemon and now the DMC V demo.
God Eater 3
Mainly just farming mats to make some R7 gear stuffs.
Will likely start 2nd file soonā¦
Custom Bullets are still whatever though, lol.
Dragon Quest XI
After finishing the Wheel of Harma final trial (wtf lol setup stuffs), just went around doing completion list stuffs (bestiary, item, equipment, etc.)
This was right before MHW Appreciation Fest started, lol.
Guns of Mercy - Rangers Edition
This is my favorite twin stick shooter on the Switch. Multiple characters with their strengths and weaknesses, different guns, upgrades, a shop for spending all that money you collect. Man, it is just so dang good. You want a good twin stick shooter on the Switch, get Guns of Mercy.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Finished World of Light a week or so ago. It is still fun coming up with OP spirit teams. Also been playing with characters I donāt usually play as. With a cast this huge, I feel like I owe it to myself to occasionally play with all of them. Iāve never had so much fun with Yoshi in any Smash game. Not sure if Zelda always had that cute laugh when she down taunts but Iām lovinā it.
Picked this back up after beating Bloodborne and getting the 8 badges in Letās Go Pikachu AND beating the Sword Trials (DLC 1) for BotW.
I only started it back up last night but the atmosphere in this game is absolutely awesome. I really dig the characters and art style since itās so out there.
Iām currently on Lakebed Temple and about half and hour go found out you could use the Claw Shot on vines. Went everywhere only to find out there were vines on the West part of the temple as well, lulz >_<
I was starting to get ptsd flash backs of the Water Temple in OoT. So yeah taking a break and Iām guessing Iāll finish it soon enough.
OG RE game and OoT really turn me around in where Iām going which is hilarious since they are pretty straight forward, but I either think too hard on something thatās obvious or I miss something in plain sight. If itās not those two, itās usually me not playing with items to see what they can do and getting tunnel vision. For this, the tunnel vision was thinking I could only use the Claw Shot on emblems and enemies.
After this game, Iām going to get back to Wind Waker HD. I do hope OoT drops on the Switch in some form. The Wii U version on the eshop is nothing but abysmal from what I hear and have seen myself, otherwise Iād grab that. Maybe Iāll grab Skyward Sword after WW:HD, and start that up?
Nioh 2 Alpha Demo
Played that for the past week, lol.
The new additions to gameplay stuffs are interesting for the most part.
Overall, though, things kinda feel more like a Nioh 1.5, if anything, IMO.
Impressions can be found in the Nioh thread.
I would like to add more alpha demo impressions stuff, but I would like for someone to bump the thread cause the 3 consecutive posts only limitation (unless you are the TC) is somewhat lolz, especially in the case of info-sharing stuffs.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
Arrived in the Guiding Lands earlier today w/ Lance.
Overall, things kinda felt like G1/G2 stuffs to some extent, IMO.
Stay grinding for R11/R12 stuffs now, lol.
Probably start Bow on Monday, maybeā¦
VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action
Did a playthrough of the game on PS4; just have to do some stuff to get the platinum.
IDK; I think the game had better functionality on the PS Vita (IMO) with some touch control stuffs and button-action nuances.
Still fun to do stuff from memory, when possible, especially drink orders, lol.
A full-blown remake with voice acting wouldāve been cool, though.
Yea I really enjoyed VA-11 Hall-A on my Switch. I think it would have been a bit less fun and felt less interactive without the touch screen support. I probably still would have liked it, but not as much as I ended up liking it.
In the post game with AC. Game is awesome. Letting the Legions take care of peons while you hang back and watch the madness unfold is fun to take in. Taking part in them is just as fun but sometimes itās nice to take it in.
So glad the systems now have replay saves to go back for later viewing.
htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary
Somehow, this ended up being my Halloween game because October was a wash for whatever āsurvival-horrorā gaming stuffs that month due to MHW:IB grinding, lol.
Interesting game, despite the initial control gimmick (touchscreen), which could be changed, thankfully.
Puzzle parts werenāt too bad, but because of the input/control methods, thereās a bit of a ātrial-and-errorā phase in order to get things just right, and some of the sequences were pretty involved, especially for some trophy stuffs, much less for regular game progression.
Overall, I enjoyed the game.
The visuals showcased tell an interesting story.
Just threw down the cash for the second ranked match in NMH. The Holly Summers fight was the calm before the storm, so to speak, because this game just went Mach Trillion Warp Speed after that, lol.
Really liking the progression Sylvia has with you as well as the approach to the boss battles. Speed Buster reminded of the sniper from Trigun and the build up to the gun was hilarious. Not sure if Iām going to buy the Katana. Liking the Broadbeam Saber.
Henry fucking with the controls and perspective reminded of MDK2 on the Dreamcast. Travis having fun with the lead up and during was a really nice touch. The writers of the game have been on point with characterization. The lead up to that fight was a nice curve ball, I wasnāt expecting.
Letz Shake boss battle was that good stuff The entrance was fucking grim though. Made me pause for a sec and go āDamnā¦ā
Iām almost tempted to track down a copy of NMH2 at this point. Suda said a remaster is up to the publisher but Iāll take a guess and say itās on the way. He said sales of TSA were dependent on NMH3 being green lit and here we are.
