New colors for PSN avatars

I wasn’t sure what to call this thread exactly.
I noticed recently some other players on PSN, something different. They have something that is accessible to them, but it is something I wish I knew how to get.

It’s not the avatars that they have. It is like they have additional colors to set around their avatar. I have seen new hues for brown, green, a very dark blue. I have never seen colors like these before.

Is there a way I could get these new colors?

um no, it has nothing to do with PS+. If you own a Vita you have some other colors to choose from.
