I think it’s an oversimplification when people say “this character is the worst! Under no circumstances does he deserve nerfs!”

It’s more complicated than that. All it takes is one or two minor buffs to make Tager God Tier. Now maybe this thing that was given to tager is what gives him his competitiveness, so the things he had before might need to be nerfed (because the things he had already, coupled with the new things, completely imbalance him.)

i’m not saying tager is being nerfed, nor justifying any nerfs for Tager. But sometimes, characters kind of need to give up old tactics in favor of new ones (because having old tactics + new tactics = broken sometimes.)

Exactly. People need to realize how their suggestions affect the overall balance of the game, instead of just wanting to improve the low tiered characters and weaken the top tiered ones. Some of the suggestions in ths thread are hilarious, btw.

Sorry I should have mentioned that the removal of carl’s loop should be in tandem with an overall buff to carl. Also you may be right about splitting up the figthers would be adventageous to the zoning cast.

Ok, forget what i said about tager, but as a noel player, i do have a lot of trouble fighting tagers and being up close to him, cuz i always get the sf4 zangief experience when i fight them. I honestly think his damage output is complete bullshit, somehow online tagers just manage to get his invincibility hits on me mid-combo and i lose 70% health because of one fuck up.

Or one thing i can ask for is a bigger recovery window off the ground after his magnetic grabs.

The pic on there has the other character blacked out(probably not announced) but he/she seems to be shooting a green beam so you could get your wish.

I wish this wasn’t a wishlist thread.
I would post my personal wishlist, but I feel like it’s just another opinion that’s totally subjective and probably will not even be close to what’s actually in the game.
Despite that, I’ll probably give my own personal wishlist at some time…

Hmm, a green beam, not to jump the gun but green seems to be Terumi’s overall main color scheme, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
But that attack looks REALLY weird.
like wtf, a beam attack that goes downward at an angle from the AIR? Could it be that he’s another zoning character, the beam is nearly hitting her from full screen, very strange. It’s not even a DD. Also, the blacked out area looks really big, in comparison to Tsubaki, who’s already a somewhat large character, so it makes me wonder…
I mean, Terumi wasn’t a big character in the story, he was only about as big as Noel, as far as I could see.

So, from what I understand, Kune has to actually HIT you for his meter to go up, correct?
And once he gets full meter, he goes into Super Kune mode, right?
And there’s no way to dispell Super Kune?
Hmm, it’s very interesting, ArkSys definitely had their thinking caps on when balancing Kune, I had never really thought of anything like that, it does seem he’s a lot more fair now, BUT, he still seems like a pretty powerful character, and justifiably so.

I’m sorry, but that just sucks for Carl players. That’s like, his MAIN move!
Can you at least still Alle~can it? That would salvage the move somewhat, but still, I don’t know.
Plus, no clap loop. I would say that moves Carl back in to the bottom tiers, lower-mid at best, even with a damage increase. If he still has shit health it’s gonna be a major problem for Carl players
Kinda pissed about Jin’s 5b.
I mean, it’s so essential in combo’s, mix-ups, frame traps, ect. to make it really slow would kind of put a damper on a lot of that.
I don’t know, I say “don’t fix what ain’t broken” and IMHO, Jin was the LEAST broken character in the game, bar none. Making changes to anything that isn’t the freeze mechanic just seems unnecessary.
Although, I am pretty excited for j.2c, maybe some kind of downward sword slash, safe, good for pressure strings, also comboable. I like the sound of that.
I gotta say, on paper, the new Nu sounds like shit.
Although a DP is a nice addition to this new buffed down Nu, I gotta say, she still sounds retched. 5K health? Really?

If the previous post is true, then I love what they’ve don with the new system and the characters. Everyone seems just right.

I’m especially happy that Hakumen got a significant buff with that new barrier move.
