Everybody liked Reboot, or at least watched it, for the same reason all of us watched nearly every season of Captain Planet: There was nothing else on in that timeslot. I think it got pulled off the air after 2 seasons in the US (except for the lucky kids who’s parents could afford cable). That was ok though, they had plenty of other, more interesting stuff. I rode ABC’s nuts for nearly 14 years. They were where most of the good shows were, especially on Saturdays.
New show looks eh, I’ll check out a few episodes but I’m sure it won’t be all that hot. DC block will now be a 3D play it safe Batman show and…comedy Titans. Alright.
Now I know why it says beware the batman. This will suck so badly that it will leave you trembling, crying, and cowering in a sobbing heap in the corner of a darkened alley. It seems no one is spared these days, not even the children.
Hey now, show ain’t anything great, just not terrible. Suit is no worse looking than Batman Begins suit. Same plasticky visuals. It’s the character design and anatomy that ruins the mask, though.
Alfred has an ACTUAL British actor voicing him. All of a sudden if Alfred speaks something other than Cockney or the Queen’s English, he’s GOT to be terrible…OK.
Sure, he’s a bit more buff, but at least by ep 2 he’s back on the bench where he should be. Learnt his lesson, back in his place.
This show better not be renewed, but it could still be 10 times worse.
Lmao…this is literally the kind of response I’m sure uwe boll would make if he ever adapted batman. I’m sure your probably very fond of batman forever and batman and robin too by this line of reasoning.
First off there are a lot of principle concepts in the setting, story, supporting characters and overal narrative that inform a character like batman far beyond some vague descriptive words that could easily refer to someone like Sherlock. He is more then just some detective with a old butler…by your description we could just make batman have vampire powers and make Gotham actually New York City so long as he is still a detective with a old butler.
…Go on. Please describe to me where this show’s portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman deviates from the “principle concepts” that we have come to expect.
Exactly WHAT is the problem with this Batman, other than the voice?
Maaan…if I had $10 million, that’s exactly the kind of show I’d be funding. That or a Nightwing DC animated feature.
I saw the first episode. Better than I expected. Don’t know how to feel about Alfred. He’s a friendly Agent 47 and I don’t know how to feel about that. Admittedly, it was cool that Alfred wanting to take a more active role in looking out for Bruce. Mister Terrific appearing was a pleasant surprise.
