Can you create a similar program to detect how fast a person is inputting a move?
Like, how you have it now, if I am not mistaken, it detects the time between button presses to detect auto fire. So, couldn’t it also detect the time lapse between say a Forward, Down, Down Forward motion?
Infact, won’t it already detect that if you are using a macro for a move and rapidly pressing the button it is programmed to?

Programmable controllers. They are a dime a dozen. Just saw one at Best Buy for $12 for the XBOX. It’s the silver metallic looking one and I look on the back and it says “Features Programmable Macros & Auto Fire.”

Try increasing the sensitivity to 5. That should be fine.

No. Server has no idea whatsoever which buttons are what. I can’t distinguish up down from punch kick. You could set the Coin In button to autofire and it would still alert.
The detector just looks for patterns in the data. A repeating pattern like autofire is about the only thing I can pickup on.

Anyway, I found some ways to trick the autofire detector. Avoiding it seems to only work if I’m crouching and holding an attack button, while also holdling another button that I won’t mention. NOt sure if this can be fixed if it’s doing pattern recognition.
I’ve said time and time again that you try to act like a pro when you talk about actually playing fighting games, but then you try to act like a newb and play dumb whenever it comes to cheating, which only makes me more suspicious.
When I first called you out for using Macros, you played dumb and said, “But, MAME doesn’t support Macros.” Acting like you haven’t heard of the many controllers out there over the years that have programmability.
Now you are trying to swerve the conversation towards you using auto-fire when you know I really called you out for MACROS which is far far far worse and cheaper than Auto Fire.
CDL, I know it’s not my place to join in this conversation…but let me inform you about Ryu1999, myself, fatherbrain, DGV, Jinrai, Canadian, and anyone other than Solo Marine, King Aures, Zaxon 2005, and Darkonesun who are known players that have been playing these games for years and years. I have won many of offline tournaments and played with the best in the world for around 10 years now.
You haven’t played me yet, but you will accuse me as well of using macros, autofire (only cause I can mash just as fast as autofire can) and whatever other methods you want to consider cheating…i.e. programmable pads, etc.
While you can buy a programmable pad, or use JoyCurTool to decrease your input time, it still doesn’t make playing the game any more or less challenging.
I have often thought that DGV used something to his advantage, which he does, supposedly an SNES pad that has no input lag…But people have told me that DGV is an Californian arcade player, which really doesn’t mean much, but nonetheless Californians are known to be experienced in ST or any SF for that matter. So I just decided to give him his props and leave it at that.
Just give props to those players who stayed dedicated to the game they love and have a passion for, and stop the hate. You think Ryu1999 Gief is good? Wait til you play Fatherbrain’s or mine. Wait til you play DGV’s DeeJay…then you will see what high level online ST is all about.
Til then, STFU about macros, programmable pads, and all that bullshit about people cheating or whatever. Hell, I play people all day long that really do cheat, and are known cheaters, but I love to bust their ass…plus it helps me fine tune my timing and executon, knowing that if I mess up one frame, they will reversal me with their autofire asses…
