I was told by the new guy that alex was fired because the profits were down(whatever). This new guy is from the so cal tilt, and whens the last time you’ve even heard of a so cal tilt tournament. Hopefyully he will be down though.

No, I do not think Neal cares particularly about fighting games (Brian was the one who did, notice Newpark Tilt has a 3S machine now) unless they make bank for the store. CVS2 is up there, as far as games that make money, but not high enough to warrant special considerations. And that is the bottom line. Seems cool though, so approach him if you want about Wednesdays and tournaments.

If it gets as busy as places in the bay area, I may just have to take a trip over there instead. That, and the closer to Ukiah the better.

ok i talked to niel and he said that he will have to clear the tourney for saturday with the company and see if it is ok. you all remember what tilt co. said about tourneys and consoles. no, we dont like it. and we dont want tourneys at tilt. the tourneys are history i think. i hope i am wrong.

i will still be their on sat to run the tourney. i think if joe is their he will do it. come around 2 everyone. if we dont have a tourney we can at least get some practice in.
Ukiah’s a quaint little town to the northwest of Fairfield on the 101, and a healthy two hour drive between here and there if mapquest were any true indication. It looks like I’ll practically be skirting the crown of the bay area if I were to drive there. But I’ll say this, it’s certainly closer than Eureka, further north on the 101, where I had been living for the past 13 years. Try getting some variety in comp in a town where the tree’s outnumber the people.
I had stopped heading to the Tilt regularly there over a year ago since hardly anyone ever showed up anymore, and all we had to play was MvC2 on a small cabinet where people’s elbows rubbed up against one another and affected our gameplay, all to make room for T4, TTT and later SvC:Chaos on the only big cabinets we did have. It’s be good to actually be within cruising distance to some SRK recognized arcades. I need to establish my gameplay fundimentals again pronto before honing my edge, in MvC2 and whatever other fighter games you are at Fairfield. That CvS2 looks interesting, and I always wanted a chance to play that finally.
tilt.com emailed me with a statement saying that teken 5 will be at tilt within 3 weeks. HELL YEAH!!
i just played SVC chaos today on my friends XBOX. holy fuck that game sucks. with chun li, c.c c.c c.c xx kick super is like impossible. and so are charge supers. and the graphics suck. and you can’t charge db for a flash kick.
I will definately be there within the third week for Tekken5.
