Yay!! That’s like the best news - ok so it’s not charge-able, but delaying is a good compromise… makes me wonder if she can dash out of delaying or if she is committed to the move. It sounds like she will be committed to release the fireball.

I’m not really a Poison fan but I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing Kim in that outfit.

As far as ‘that’ super, I guess how much enjoyment that nets you will be if you are into Poison or not. Also those who don’t know about Poison will likely be actually ‘trapped’.
Anyways I think I read somewhere that Ayano said his favorite by far of the newcomers is Poison. This means that Poison will at least be mid tier IMO.
Wont know until people actually play her…I’ll be at Capcom Cup Finals…so I’ll play her then.
So…today we confirmation of a damage buff AND her super from Revenge as her Ultra 2? Today is a GOOD day!
In all seriousness though, I am a little concerned about the apparent lack of diversity in her Ultras. Aren’t they both projectiles? I’ve never actually played FFR myself, so I don’t actually know what the Poison Kiss move properties are. I imagine there must be some sort of difference between them, otherwise there would be no advantage to using double ultras as Poison.

If it really is her Kiss, then I expect it to be some kind of command grab.

So, I’ve been thinking about the supers and ultras of the new characters since they were first announced. These are my guesses:
Super: A multihit projectile similar to Ryu’s, maybe a little slower.
U1: Love Storm. I imagine they split the SFxT Love storm up into the Super and U1. This Love storm is triggered from a move similar to her jump kick, making it an anti-projectile Ultra similar to Adon’s U1.
U2: I initially thought this would be her shinryuken-type Super from FFR, but it’s hard to deny that it’s probably the “sexy montage” one (since the tweet mentions we would go “Ah!”, which Poison does during the freeze of this super. Not to mention there wouldn’t really be anything shocking about a generic spinning uppercut move). Might still be a projectile, might be a grab, who knows. I’d like it to be a low damage, instant stun-type move though, since that’s how it seemingly works in FFR, and we don’t really have anything like that in this game at the moment.
Well, well. The japanese loctest brought by Uryo gave us some interesting info.
I really, REALLY hope the tip of her cr.mk is also the tip of her leg, unlike SFxT. Otherwise, that would suck really hard. Rook, can you please test it out later, if you’d have a chance? And see if at least Aeolus Edge connects without any issues…
Now I wonder what they did with U2. In Final Fight Revenge, it was a stationary projectile. If it can’t connect from FADC (just assumption based on Uryo having a chance to test it out), could they have made it a counter? Like Cammy’s CQC? It would make some sense, I guess.

This one is also concerning. Does that mean the opponent is pushed back far enough so that cr.lp whiffs? Hope not. Also hope CH isn’t the only way to combo this. Ouch.
So far, a tiny bit worried. I know these are not final, still good food for thought. What are your opinions, peeps? :3

Zhi says qcb.k connect into cr.lk on normal hit too, so no need to worry about that. The cr.mk thing is a bit worrying, though.
Ah okay, so reading Zhi’s twitter, the cr.mk is indeed having a proper range now. So I guess the cr.mk xx rekkas combo has the same range as in SFxT while buffing the normal itself a bit for overall usefulness. And yeah…Ultra 2 confirmed as a counter. Dat trap status.
Poison’s entry/game over pose is something to behold alright.
Anyway. Too soon to tell, I know people will be happy with her U2 animation (kicks in the lower regions), but I’m not sure how I feel about it being a counter Ultra.
Her Super is a SRK-type of move by the way.
