Neutral Jump Fighter V

sim got the best anti airs oh my god. never has a fucking light jab been so useful and the best part is it’s comboable.

medium puncher 5!!! that’s the most recent name I came up with. I’ll start a thread for every single one of them!

Seriously dude? Such venom for absolutely no reason. My point, since you clearly don’t have the brain power to grasp it originally, was that due to various reasons, online doesn’t always have reliable connections which in turn fuck up yours, mine, that pro player over there, gameplan. I know to anti air with various normal, with airgrab, with any number of things.

Doesn’t mean it’s always going to work the way I want, simply because even a 5 bar connection can sometimes have teleporting characters, massive “Is this dial-up?” lag and the like.

At no point did I mention anything about OFFLINE, which is the best way to play any fighter. At no point did I mention anything about re-balancing the game for online garbage(which would be fucking stupid)

Pull your head out of your ass before you post next time. That way you can use that meat sack above your shoulders for more then a pin-cushion for all the metal you’ve no doubt shoved into it.

Also, smoke a bowl and chill the fuck out dude.

sf5 currently has the most input lag of any fighter offline and online :]
About 4 times more input latency than skullgirls btw.

But yall wouldn’t notice that now would ya. You little evo niggers you lol.

This fuckin guy…I indulge in weed and even I know how fucking terrible this thread is. Everyone in this thread has already said it and I’ll say it again for them: if you see someone jump, anti-air. If you can’t do that, you’re a fucking weakling scrubbo who can’t make it past rookie tier and should stop making pointless posts and threads.

WHY IS THIS THREAD STILL OPEN?!

Edit: I know you didn’t start this thread, but you defending it this hard is very telling of your (lack of) skills and abilities.

Ive noticed this myself too. Ive gotten into the habbit of C.HP with Bison a lot more than just going for a throw when someone is next to me.

sigh

I am not defending anything. Merely pointing out that, online specifically due to various connections, anti-airs(and everything else) can sometimes not work the way we plan for them. Unless, your telling me you have never seen some funky shit during an online match? Right, of course you have.

My first comment was a couple words indicating that, I honestly didn’t think I needed to specify any further then that. The post I just made a few minutes ago was in response to someone who not only didn’t get it, but also responded with pure venom. Hence, the smoke a bowl and chill.

Nothing in my first post warranted such anger. In fact, I thought it was plain as fucking day I was referring to the sometimes wonky way online works, and how neutral jumps ONLINE(do I need to bold that as well?) works pretty damn good. Hell, I thought it was such an obvious meaning that I made a joke about what Chun says with her airgrab.

But, yeah, go ahead and keep assuming shit about me because you couldn’t figure out what I was referring to, when I said it clear as day. In fact, I’ll bold it and say one last time for you, kiddo.

**My comment is only referring to the wonky way online works on occasion, and that due to this, neutral jumps are often used by online players. I have at no point suggested that it was hard to punish, OFFLINE, or under optimal connection conditions. At no point have I stated it was a viable(or not) tactic used by players of any skill level, beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

All that I stated was that connections throw off the timing on many things online, neutral jumps included.**

I haven’t seen anyone confirm this on a PS4.

Let’s be real; it’s Juri, it wasn’t a surprise.

This is another thing, people are neutral jumping online, ONLINE, ONLINE so much people are just expecting it now and altering how they play online, ONLINE, ONLINE

So are you seriously now complaining that people have to adapt their play? Regardless of online or offline, adapting to your opponent for the W is what you’re SUPPOSED TO DO IN A FIGHTING GAME YA FUCKIN MOOK! If you can’t do that you should just stop playing online, so you can continue to get 0-2’d offline.

…what? The only point I have made, repeatedly, is that sometimes shit just doesn’t work online the way we plan for it. Dropped combos, missed anti airs, all of it. That’s…fucking obvious. Happens in any online game, ever regardless of genre. The reason I mentioned it in the first place, is simply because people are using it A LOT, online. So much so people of all skill levels expect it and have altered how they would normally play in certain situations, thus adapting, like you said, to their opponent. In this case, many online opponents.

I am not complaining, AT ALL, that people are doing it. I am not stating that a fucking anti air is hard, AT ALL. What I am doing, is simply stating that the wonky online play may have a hand in why neutral jumps are a common occurance during online play.

That’s. Fucking. It.

Holy shit, people’s reading comprehension skills on this forum is fucking horrible.

No need to start getting angry with each other. Let’s keep things civil.

My apologies if I came off as angry, I am not. Merely frustrated that I have had to repeatedly explain a simple thing to 2 individuals that have responded to my first statement with venom. That simply wasn’t warranted.

The number of grammatical errors, however minute in your messages creates a strong urge to troll.

The neutral works perfectly well offline in this game as well as in 3s.

To the first part: The thought of that being the reasoning behind some of the responses to my posts makes my eyes roll so hard there about to hit the floor. (not addressing this to you specifically, just that someone would take such minor errors and have that urge to troll.) I should know better, this being the internet and all.

(again, not responding to you specifically, just that line of thought)

Second, it has been far too long since I played 3S offline. I had forgotten that.

…now I want to play 3S again. Ha.

I’m not trying to be a troll, but it’s just when reading these comments that are shitting on fighting games in general over mechanics that are benign, whatever mode they’re being used in, I just feel I have to stamp out the ignorance. I have no problem with you personally, but I just feel like unwarranted complaints are unnecessary. Now that I get what you’re saying, it’s not nearly as pants on head as the OP, but it’s not that my reading comprehension is poor, it’s that you do a bad job of conveying your message through text, which makes sense cause talking through text makes it difficult to convey different meanings.

Are you seriously trolling me now dude?

It’s not the game’s fault. even 4 >__> it’s just the players, most just was not feelin it.
Although there’s a lot less jumping crossings going on than in 4 nobody does it much anymore.

sigh

No, I was not trolling you. I was attempting to expand on what you yourself stated how you’ve altered your own gameplan to counter, at least online(I assume you were referring to online play), due to all the neutral jumps you’ve seen people do. Not just from one player over the course of a match, but, as you said, “a habit” since you’ve encountered many opponents over many matches that have used it.

The onlinex3 + the bold was to make sure anyone, not just you, got that I was referring to online play specifically.

And now I’m just going to log out, because I am seriously tired of having to repeat myself on this forum. I am tired of being attacked, insulted and the like here. Been posting on internet forums for nearly 20 years, never have I been met with such hostility to my posts on any other forum.

All I’ve been trying to do is have discussions with other fighting game players over various aspects of the game. I have gone at it tooth and nail with some folks in one thread, only to agree with them 100% in others. I have no ill will towards anyone, just a desire to have conversations about fighting games, in particular Street Fighter V. Both the good and bad.

Clearly, I am in the wrong place to have such conversations about the game without being met with outright hostility, attacks and what have you. So, enough. I’m done. Ya’ll can continue belittling people’s posts, taking things out of context, and whatever else you wish to do.

Yeah, this place is just so welcoming and friendly to people…yeah bullshit on that one.

P.S.- No, I am not butthurt, have hurt feelings, or crying myself to sleep. I know someone is going to respond with that, or with something along the lines of “Good riddance noob!” or some other such drivel. What I am is just plain tired of dealing with this bullshit.
