The OP has a point. Everyone and their mothers like neutral jumping in this game. And it’s an awesome, viable tactic against throws. Capcom even patched that. Go do some research if you don’t think there’s something wrong with the neutral jumps.
Just played a Nash who refused to stay grounded, was literally in the air with neutral jumps 70% of the match. It was ridiculous. I just hope he has his languages set to English or speaks Japanese, so he understood what Chun said with all the airgrabs I did:
Dude, it’s not that there aren’t certain matchups and situations that call for a neutral jump, it’s that way to many people, at all levels, are using it pretty much in any match, in any set up.
Besides, when Capcom themselves announces that there changing the frame data for neutral jumps because it’s not working how they intended, any argument otherwise just makes you look foolish.
I know this is the internet and all, but damn people, use that meat sack above your shoulders before posting. Please.
Actually Capcom changed the frames for jumps to eliminate an option select that allows people to use pre-jump frames to escape throws. Chun also having her option select with her fireball killed too.
Yeah, that’s a great tactic. Get back to me when it works 100% online with various connection speeds and such. Also, Chun’s airgrab is the best anti air ever.
It is an annoying tactic for sure as a Gief player. If this shit topic is going to stay open, would you guys give me some tips on how to deal with it? I see it pretty much every match and deal with it alright. More annoying than anything.
