Patch is basically ready, now to wait two fucking weeks until Microsoft and Sony aprove it!
I just hope this patch actually does something. Please SNK dont fail me and all of you loyal fans.
Yeah, it’ll take some time to get it through to home consoles. But man, if it really is noticeably better/worth playing online, again, I don’t mind the wait at all.

The patch probably isn’t done yet. They’re probably making sure the various glitches and infinites they were removing are actually gone.
probably. They finished the main portion which is the online, and now they’ll probably glitch hunting for a few more days before sending it over to MS and Sony

They should remove that Joe Higashi infinite. It’s not easy to do but it’s just scary.
I don’t think they can remove the Athena infinite though 'cause it’s not really a glitch. Plus the infinite is mentioned in the strategy guide. I’ve never even seen a setup for it (maybe you can make up a custom critical combo into it) and the infinite is fairly tough to execute due to timing anyway (kinda like El Fuerte but a bit easier).
Does this mean I’ll be able to blow the dust off my KOF XII and I can put Halo Wars the fuck down at last?!?

Is this patch strictly to straighten out the netcode or is it going to be for the online match making interface too? I wanna at least be able to disable “SIMPLE” commands when I’m online
Can’t you only use Simple commands when in Player Matches?
Simple is only player match option.

But seemingly, they somehow pulled that first patch out of their ass in like 3 days… Unless they were working on it for a while before. But it did seem like it was a response to the really bad feedback they got when the street date was broken by GameStop.
Not sure though. I don’t think MS and Sony is gonna take until the end of the month but there’s never any way to be sure until the patch is actually posted. I’m freaking hoping we see it this coming week though and I don’t think that’s an impossibility.
From what I hear, there’s mega amounts of copies on sale on ebay. There’s no way that won’t eat into the sales SNK could have had in Europe. Just no way it can’t effect profits.
The sooner they release this patch and get some good feedback going around the net, the higher the chance that some of the copies up for sale on ebay will get kept by the original buyer. Plus, some of those people on the fence about buying KOF XII, because they heard how laggy it was, may go ahead and buy it if they hear something positive. That may let SNK sell more copies all around.
In this case time = money without a doubt…
