yes, yes it does.
especially RLS [punisher], 2nd hyper, cancel into Hulk’s metor smash. well over 90% damage.

i tend to use him in the middle of my phoenix wright team with either hawkeye or arthur at anchor
somebody online told me i was using the wrong assist(launcher slam)and that clothesline rocket was better…(then again this came from someone who thinks thor is the worst character and that hsien-ko’s a pretty good character)
i feel like my team of neme(cline launch)/nova(grav pulse)/ doom(plasmabeam) is too good, gravpulse to close the gap , doom beam for keepaway, when you get in you can go for tick grabs and press buttons, because between block strings mid screen you call nova for the shield if your blocked the shield lets you recover. if you get an opponent in the corner forget it belive you can set up literally safe guesses with nemesis.
conrner ticks and strings you use doom because grav pulse will hit if you end up grabbing them.
although sometimes it resets them and they tech roll which leads to them being grabbed aagain if the arent paying attention lol
combo in the corner launch m, h, air down deadly reach, L, call doom beam assist do either tentecle slam M or H if you grab another combo in not the plasma beam hits them even if they jump over you on a bad guess so they will have to block, i will have to test it more maybe fly chacters can punish?
I tend to run Nem(launcher slam)/Hawkeye(arrows)/Wesker(gun).
I would love to replace Wesker with a char I am more familiar with, such as Dorm, but I can not seem to figure out a good OTG set up with that team.
Strider would be awesome with Hawk/Nem, but does his Vajra hit OTG as well?
Really I am just trying to build my team around Nem/Hawk… Suggestions would be great.
Nope, Varja is not an OTG move—but you can use Hawks Poison arrow as an otg assist if you wish
Yeah this is true, but I lose my “beam assist” to get in…
Running Nemesis (Rocket)/Wesker (Gun)/Vergil (Rapid). Wesker’s gun goes without saying, but using Vergil’s assist can actually lead into nasty setups whenever the push from it actually puts them right where Nemesis needs em (usually the corner). As the other two are more or less primary teleport characters, having the rocket on the screen, even if it’s going to whiff, just puts them on the defensive. With Wesker, this can be an easy combo off his command grab, or some other shenanigans, and Vergil is much the same.
Right now im running Frank/Ghost Rider/Nemesis. Frank on point and I use shopping cart with him, chain of rebuttal with Ghost Rider and rocket slam with Nemesis. Both Ghost Rider and Nemesis’s assists i use for cover for frank and can be used as combo extenders after the camera is used as an otg. When Ghost Rider is in, I use his assist to extend combos after 5C 5C 214A 4C. The shopping cart gives Nemesis amazing cover and on characters going in will just make them vulnerable to to eat big damage off of a simple combo with nemesis. I anchor with im so most of the time I am playing as him he is by himself but his tools alone i feel are really underrated. you can get a one hit kill most times just doing a basic air combo and ending with a super. if it doesnt kill just xfactor and do another one, it will get the job done. Kara command grabs can really trick your opponent for some retarded damage after the follow up, not to mention Kara lvl 3 hyper is too nice.
What do you guys think of Nemesis/Vergil/Sentinel? I’m thinking either this team or Ghost Rider/Vergil/Sentinel. I might be willing to modify the first team, I don’t know all that much about Nemesis, so i’m not sure how to modify. Suggestions?
Nemesis/Vergil play nicely together - Nemesis lets Vergil OTG off of 3C at the cost of a ground-bounce, which is cool, but more importantly they have good DHC synergy in that direction (other direction is rather blah) and Vergil RS helps force people into the corner. However, Vergil assist is kind of pointless - I think you’d always want Drones, as it’s more useful than rapid slash for approach and mixup. So…eh.
I’ve been running Vergil/Nemesis/Strider, but I’m making a few changes:
Will report back with news once I test some more. Also, IM with Vajra seems hella good, since he can poke well and wants to win the height contest when fighting in the air, plus his air-to-air is very strong so Vajra helps him approach (cover it with j.dH or j.H or j.S). If he doesn’t work out, can always go back to Vergil.
Who would be a good fit for a Nem/???/Doom team? I’m trying to get better at the game in general so picking up Doom has been a rewarding challenge thus far though I am a ways away and I don’t know if I should overwork myself with another complicated character. I’ve noticed both Hulk and Sentinel have really good synergy with Nemesis and aren’t really that hard to pick up at all, but the idea of using two giant characters worries me. I also assume I’d need an OTG assist and I’m considering Hawkeye or Dorm (despite his size) and I really don’t want to resort to Wesker and his gunshot. I’m open to any suggestions really that I might not be consider (Jam Session maybe?) or should I just get over it and use Wesker, thanks in advance.
E: Well after playing around I feel silly, Dorm (Liberation) and Hawkeye (Poison) don’t OTG or I’m doing it wrong which is definitely a possibility. Also Wesker’s assist works too well to ignore :(, still open to suggestions though.
hybreezy, I am having problems getting Hawkeye (Poison) to hit as well. I think it has a real strict timing and/or spacing. Just like self OTGing with Hawk Poison Tip. Wekser’s does work amazing and I think that Wesker “looks” better alongside Nemy. I will probably continue to run Nem/Hawk/Wesker, as both Wesker and Hawk are crazy in X-Factor.
On another note I would to try and run a “brute” team, Nem(slam)/Hulk(wave)/Sent(drones). Wonder how well that works…?
Yeah I think it’s the spacing as it seems to go just over the character, but it seems the window to backdash is too tight. Maybe it’s just a problem in the corner? I haven’t played around in training mode too much with Hawkeye to test it’s range at midscreen. I’m considering just running Wesker, there’s really no reason to try and prove a point not using him when the damage and combo extending is so easy especially when I’m still learning regardless. They can do some serious damage together off the most basic of things thanks to the gunshot. Besides I love Resident Evil and Wesker so I could clearly convince myself I’m not tier whoring somehow >_>.
As for Hulk/Sent I could see the damage (obviously) being bananas, but I used Hulk so much in Vanilla and feel Nemesis does everything I wish Hulk could do anyway. I think if they didn’t change the properties of how you can combo into Hyper Sentinel Force I’d be more interested in running that team. Regardless the RL Hyper into the Ball or Meteor Smash is crazy good. I think team Super Armor would be sweet in concept, but those hurtboxes could be really hard to overcome especially with the grief I get from teleporters with just Nemesis alone.
Also semi sidenote I’m pretty sure I meant Purification when I mentioned Dorm, I can’t remember the name but it’s the pillar obviously. Oh and I don’t think I’ve seen it suggested it here, but I’ve seen a lot of Captain America on Nemesis teams online. Cap seems pretty beast in this if he can hit you once and I imagine the RL Slam and shield OTG would be a good option on the jump in, but I’m not too familiar with that stuff to say for certain.
I would love to run, Nem/Hawk/Dorm. Problem is the OTG again. I can get the pillar to connect but I dont feel it is effective… Maybe as a reset for a grab.
Nemesis doesn’t need an OTG assist, Neither does Hawkeye.
Why do you think you need it?
Why wouldn’t you want an OTG assist? You can get well over 800K with a simple
j.H, cr.L, cr.M, cr.H, S, SJ, j.M, j.M, j.H, j.S, land, Gunshot, cr.H, S, SJ, j.M, j.M, j.H, j.S, RL Hyper, DHC into Maximum Wesker mash. Excuse any poor formatting.
Obviously he has the ability to do huge damage by himself, but in the heat of the moment there’s nothing better than keeping it simple with Nemesis. Not to mention it’s pretty easy to just get a little bit more complicated then work in the relaunch for what I can only assume is a dead character with or without the DHC. Add in a lock down assist and I assume you’re covered, but I could be wrong just seems the smartest approach to me.
Has anybody find a way to DHC Zero to Nemesis yet? Wanted to use this beast seeing his one of my fav characters, but he just doesn’t fit with Zero DHC wise.
Also, what do you guys consider his best assist? Tried the three of them and didn’t find any use on them like I’ve heard from some people.
Because my bnb already does 780k consistently without an OTG assist and I run plasma beam and vajra.
As far as “keeping it simple” I already do that, none of his combos require any complex execution, not even the relaunches(granted they’re very impractical, do terrible damage, and shouldn’t be brought into the equation granted how situational they are)
Since I already run Nemesis on point, a DHC into sphere flames gets me 20k shy of 1 million and the combo itself already builds a meter.
Plasma beam = Controls the horizontal ground and clears the ground of other assist calls,Vajra controls the air.
An otg assist extends your combos…yay
I don’t mean to sound irrational but I think if you’re using an OTG assist(with Nemesis atleast) it just makes your team less well rounded.
They’re all pretty bad imo, and honestly I don’t think Zero and Nemesis have any synergy whatsoever, but I would use RL Slam if you absolutely had to make a decision since ground bounces are pretty easy to followup after and it has armor if it’s called poorly.
i just wanted to post here to say that this is the only thread with one of those witty titles that is actually funny
gj
Is that BnB in the combo topic? I will look for it and fiddle around. I didn’t mean to sound dickish to clarify I know he has big damage potential and I completely agree on the relaunches. However I find Wesker and Nemesis have really good synergy anyway so it also boils down to the fact if you have Wesker you’re gonna use the Gunshot. Also I’ve been trying to use Doom as an anchor so a DHC into Sphere Flame, which I would naturally assume is a much better DHC option than Maximum Wesker anyway, isn’t an option for me. I also played around with Strider at anchor for a bit and as already stated it is pretty epic, but I don’t know if I should drop Doom for him . Both characters are fun and useful in their own way
