Can you just layer mask the grass so you keep the dark background and green grass? Then go in and adjust the brightness so it matches everything else.

I can do that easily enough, but not in such a manner that it doesn’t look like an obvious hackjob. Observe:

EDIT: Judicious use of the Magic Wand tool helped quite a bit, but there’s still a sort of “ghost edge” around the grass areas. I’m not quite sure what to do about that. It’s not a major issue, but it is a mild incongruity.

Thats hot. Now it looks like some crazy ass possessed ferns.
I suppose it does fit with the somewhat glowy nature of the whole scene… I’ll stick with it for the time being.

If you keep up with the gallery thread in Tech Talk it’ll eventually show up in there. The woodwork’s in progress, but there’s still some aluminium and acrylic to cut to size and I haven’t done anything for the wiring yet. Just figured I’d get the stick art done while I had some free time and some ideas (none of which I actually ended up using but hey it worked anyway).
If I remember I’ll PM you when it’s done but it might be up to a month or more yet so no guarantees.
