What about the 5V wire in the inside and outside cable?

Yeah, connect 5V (red wire) and ground (black wire) on both in in and out sides of the ChimpSMD.

And without getting into it too much, I suggest leaving the 5th wire in the USB cable (bare metal, “SGND” on the MadCatz board) disconnected. Just trim it back and make sure it won’t short against anything.

Not sure what video you’re talking about, but you’re going to have to link the signals, be it from the terminal, the pcb itself, or the buttons/stick.

Can you post a Link to the video. I’ve been trying to find a bid that shows wires going from the terminal strip to the chimp
