Need Help with deciding on a new pad

OK folks yes you probably see a lot of this type of thread here. Let me cut to the chase here. The pad that i have been using for fighting games and many other games is my original Sixaxis controller that came with the ps3 when i got my system in 2006, its seen some pretty heavy usage. the pictures are at this URL http://theflashkickid.imgur.com/all/ its been beaten to hell seeing as how when i was younger i didnt take good care of it the problems that occur are the L1 doesnt really stay in place that well its still staying together but its very loose and sometimes on how loose it is activates pretty much twice and the R2 sometimes sticks in place and sinks in to the controller and becomes stuck. But now since ive gotten heavy into SFxT i had tried to become a tournament level player in SFIV,MK9 and the one i had most success with but the scene died down(in my area) when i started playing with Blazblue. Now i need your help deciding on a new pad seeing as how im having a much bigger success with SFxT, now i have tried stick on mutliple occasions over, the start of getting into fighting games from a fight club we have where i live, that started 3 years ago. Now i considered and heard about getting those new Sega Saturn controllers that will work with pc and ps3, but i have seen and have been warned to stay away from those knockoffs. What i really need is a controller that can work on all 3 systems.
But its hard to find the official Sega Saturn controllers made for the newer generation of consoles, but they are expensive and as stated before very difficult to find. I did look into those PDP versus pads, but i was skeptical seeing as how its a analog stick with an 8-way gate and at the 20$ price. I also looked into and do own one of those MadCatz fightpads sadly i got them when they were wireless for the ps3 and i was very dissapointed with it being wireless but i haven’t used that in a long time. Now i have looked at Etokki converters and using Ps2 controllers for the latter(seeing as how i own a ps2 and the controllers are in great condition). But for me i really am leaning towards a saturn controller since i did grow up playing on a genesis and i still love that system’s controllers better than anything. But i would like to know are there any alternatives? but if i get the saturn controller id have to get someone to mod the controller to be able to work on all systems, and that doesnt seem cost effective. I really could use help(links would be nice)
(i am also sorry for my terrible grammar.)

Tl:dr my pad is messed up (and i need suggestions for a new pad.) as http://theflashkickid.imgur.com/all/ those images show yeah i need a new one

So for a saturn pad you will need to get an official saturn pad, and turn it into a project box controller with a FGWidget
convertor.
A FGWidget Convert kit can be purchased from godlikecontrols.com. You will also need to buy a Saturn Extention cord, and other electronic odds and ends, wire, 15 pin dsub ports,
and hack controller pcbs for systems you want it compatible for.

In a nutshell the convertor converts the saturn button signals into raw signals to be connected to a controller pad hack.
You will need to read and understand this thread, and the pad hacking section of slagcoin.com
Project Box Controllers: A Guide to Modular Controllers

You should look for a modder that can make this for you if you don’t have any tools to make this happen.

The alternative is looking for the rare and hard to find Sega Saturn pads made for the PS2. You still have to find a adapters or build one Via the FG Widget as rtdzing mentioned.

ok thanks how much am i looking at price wise in order to make such a contraption? I have been on slagcoin before but i was looking at comparisons for joysticks when i wanted to retry stick. But i would like to thank you guys for taking the time to read this.

http://etokki.com/Playstation2/Xtokki360 and http://etokki.com/Playstation2/iNPiN-PS2-to-PS3-Converter i was looking at a long while ago if i do find those saturn pads for ps2 i should be good.

Solder sucker pump $15
Solder $5-15

The Hori Fighting Commander 3 Pro is a pretty nice pad with 6 face buttons and some other nice features, although the D-pad can be a little stiff even on the “loose” setting but you might be able to break it in. I love this pad and it’s only $35. It’s also only for the ps3 though but some people on here can dual mod it.
