Need help troubleshooting audio -> rca connection

Sorry if there is odd capitalization in the thread title, hopefully its just an issue with the playbook browser and wont actually show up with alternating cases like it does on my screen currently.<div><br></div><div>edit: fixed the title</div><div><br></div><div>Im having some trouble connecting a jamma audio edge to RCA plugs. Ive read guides and it seems simple enough…</div><div><br></div><div>Wire + end to the center of rca plug, ground to the outside, and a few resistors depending on if your equipment is looking for a line or signal  level input.</div><div><br></div><div>My problem is that when I do this, the exposed wire/rca plug gets extremely hot. I dont know why, or the audio wont work at all unless I plug in the audio AFTER my arcade board is turned on (still gets hot when I do this)</div><div><br></div><div>Ok, i thought maybe im understanding the wiring wrong so i purchased a video converter which includes an jamma audio input/ rca output. Same deal. The resistors and the screw terminal on the circuit board gets really hot if there is audio, and audio only works if the connection is made after the board is turned on.  Im using a cps2 board but i want this to work with classic arcade games that only use te jamma edge for audio. It seems so simple yet its not working i have no idea where to even begin troubleshooting/diagnosing this.</div>
