“Oh gosh, worst Geese ever…mashing punches int he corner until his projectiles finally came out…full screen hcf+K, wtf.”
Heh, I caught that too. DragonSama, once I get an Xbox, I’ll play you with SvC on Live. I haven’t played the game much, but I can honestly say I’m much better then some of the competition you had in those videos…
Regarding CvS2
About technical information:
Since you’re using C-groove, you need to learn what your groove is actually capable of. For example, you should learn how to chicken guard, delayed getup if needed, lvl 2 supers into special move/lvl 1 supers, etc. Once you have your own groove down, you should learn how to play against other grooves, such as playing cautiously against a full meter A-groove character and varied/delayed attacks against K-groove JDers. Then you can move on and learn the various nuances of the game regarding character specific shit such as which characters can duck under Sagat’s standing jab (which is useful in knowing whether to do a combo such as cr.short, st.jab, cr.forward -> whatever, or cr.short x 2 -> whatever on a character like cammy who can just duck the jab)
Lastly i would recommend to study frame data. This is actually not necessary but as long as you know what moves are safe and which ones aren’t (ie. punishable), then you’ve got the important part figured out.

Mind Games:
This is where it can get tricky depending on how good your memory is. You can develop a type of gameplay that involves either enhancing either your “gimmicks” or manipulating other people into exposing their weaknesses. Of course there are many other branches but these are just some basic strats. The basic goal of this is to make someone play your game. For starters, you can learn some setups that can lead into big damage. This revolves highly around the basic 50/50 mixups that everyone has. You can even create your own. Some of these setups that you can create only work once, but if you have considered all the options, then you can truly say that “there is always a counter to everything”. The second part may be a bit harder to see. It involves paying attention to certain habits that the other player has. If they are doing a set pattern of attacks in sequence, you can then visually see gaps and openings where you can take advantage of an opportunity. It will be harder against pro players who mixup their game well and always do something different. However, knowing all the options is key to finding out what the other guy will do next. If you see that they don’t know all the options, then you have an upper hand on them already. It might be hard to notice at first, but if you have a regular group of people that you normally play with, then start practicing with them and pay attention to their habits and eventually you will start to notice certain tendencies that they do and do not do.
There’s actually a billion things more I’d like to type but I’m kinda lazy so I hope this is good for now.
M. Bison (Vega), Vega (Balrog), Mars People, Terry, normal Akuma, Genjyuro, Iori and startin to use Mai.
While I made a few faqs for the game with psychochronic, u can find them on gamefaqs.com under his name.
Shit even the first attack is vulnerable to a GCS attempt. I guess maybe, d, u + P could be used here to escape a GCS or maybe f + B but that would be even riskier. Sides from the dolts hey plays he doesnt have too wory about GCS attempts lol
G product: Play me sometime i’d like to see ur vega cuz i knwo EXACTLY what youl do with everyone else.
balrog:rushdown w/ the gay jumping thingy
mars people:cheapass teleporting+exploding combo
normal akuma:super duper zoning with zanku-hadouken
genjiyuro:cherry blossom slice linking into juggle super combo
iori:stall stall stall until u get maximum then u catch me with THAT combo
terry:Even though i know exactly every single strat your gonna use with him if i’m not using sagat, vio ken, or goenitz then u have a good chance of at least getting a round off me.
…plz don’t use mai she takes damage like a bitch, has NO priority, and mosto f her moves require her to bait and jump TOWARDS ME…not a good idea when i’m the best in svc using sagat or vio ken lol in fact the only reaso nto evr use mai in svc is that stupid jump-meaty-infinite.
How do u deal with shin akuma? i usually use vio ken but even I lose about half the time cuz u have to time teleporting between BOTH mega fireballs within like what 1/2 a frame no joke.
