Need help bad

i could really use some assistance

i need someone who has the following: a ps3 with firmware 3.60, a copy of super street fighter IV, a internet connection, a computer(windows), patience to help me.

basically i have a ps3 which is running developer firmware. meaning, when i connect to PSN i connect to the developer servers, and no one plays on them (lol rankings have like 50 people and have names like aohfaasfjalf3214)

a program has been released that lets people like me change the server i want to connect to, only problem is that i need to know the dev server address (easy for me) and the retail PSN server address that everyone connects to (i cant do). i need someone to run the program on their computer (its just a dns server that displays all the servers your ps3 connects too, and allows you to change them) and then access all parts of the network mode in ranked (click on quick game, create a game, do a custom search) and then copy all the text from the program and paste it here. then i can decypher it and get the server addresses for the normal servers and then make my ps3 connect to it so i can start playing ps3 online again on ssf4.

here is the program: [Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!](http://www.multiupload.com/F3FGY75I60)

just open it, it will ask you if that is your ip address, 99% it should be and click ok, then it shud open. go to your ps3 and edit your network settings, do everything normally except when it asks for dns settings say manual and for primary right what the program asked you, and secondary shud be 8.8.8.8

then if your did everything right, u can connect to psn and the program will write info in the box, go to network mode, click on quick connect, click on custom, and make a create game in ranked (you could do it for everything else too but i only play ranked). then copy all info in the program and paste it here. thank you for your time.

No Thanks, I do not want to be the next Geo Hot (Being sued by Sony).

Anyways how did you get your mits on a Developer’s PS3 Console? Or it is only technically a “Developer’s Console” since you state you have the “developer firmware”.

Yes I know this is just a little DNS setting changing, but since no one reads the fine details of PSN’s Terms of Service, I am not looking to get burned.

i bought a dev console 3 years ago when ps3’s were running 2.xx firmware from a retired dev who used to work for activision for $3,000. my console is a registered dev console and it is not illegal to buy dev console because of the first sale doctrine. now that there is custom firmware on 3.55, and my dev console is running dev 3.55, sony made an update that counter acted it with 3.60 and did not release a dev 3.60. so now i can only connect to the “prod-qa” (product-quality assurance) or “sp-int” (dev) servers and not the “np” (retail) servers.

if i try to connect to “np” it says update to 3.60 (Official firmware) and not dev. so i cant play with the retail ps3’s anymore. and contacting sony has only gotten me a response of we don’t know if there ever will be a 3.60 dev firmware because dev 3.55 has the cloud feature aswell as it connects to dev servers and connecting to retail is not all necessary.

Good luck getting someone in Tech Talk to download and run your binaries.

Maybe try these.

connecting to psn isn’t the problem, i can connect to psn just not retail psn. all i need is someone to run the dns program, connect to the super street fighter 4 servers and then paste the server info here so that i can run the dns program and make my ps3 connect to the retail servers instead of the dev servers. it isn’t illegal in any way for someone with a dev console to connect to retail psn, its just since the ps3 hacks, people like me who payed good money for a dev console are being F’ed over not being able to go onto retail psn, and im not going to buy a new ps3 just for one game, i have gotten all the servers for my other games, street fighter is the last one :frowning:

Oh, my bad, I get what you’re saying now. SSF4 servers.

I understood the first sales doctrine applies to books, software and other publications.

Although there no mention about hardware in the first sales doctrine, 2nd was the console sold to you was legally that retired man’s property to being with or the property of Activision? You have to understand with complete strangers talking to each other on the internet, you should take precautions.

I got a question does your PS3 has DVD/Blu Ray/ video playback?

Why are you making duplicate threads…asking for the same thing?

it was his property, retired devs get to keep their consoles. and yes it does have video playback.

so are you going to help or back seat mod

Come on anyone?!!!

Isn’t PSN down right now?

i can sign in? but only dev psn
