Can anyone recommend a PS3 pad with a common ground?
We have the Saturn style one but it has no home button.
Unless there is a way round that.
Any help appreciated.

Aren’t the DualShock 3s and SIXAXIS controllers already common ground?
THe sixaxis and ds3 has like 4 grounds IIRC

That is probably your best option if you want to wire up a PS3 compatible joystick.
Nope. Even if you add the resistors manually to make it a common line board, it is still a common HIGH board, not a common ground.

Laurie, I may be a little biased, but I do think the Cthulhu is the absolute best way to go if you’re planning on doing a dual pcb setup including PS3.

Agreed Toodles. Maximus/sinster master has been showing me the work you have done and it looks great.

Oh, well, that’s news to me. I didn’t know that the PS3 pads weren’t common ground. My mistake.
And although I haven’t used one myself, I’ll jump on the bandwagon too and agree that the Cthulu board’s your best bet, laurie. I dunno where you can buy one in the UK, but I know you can buy Cthulu kits from LizardLick and they ship worldwide. That’ll probably be your best option barring buying one directly from Toodles.
I appreciate the consideration, but just grab one from where ever is most convenient.
Just make sure to post up pics of whatever you make with it.
