Well, I can only get one hit of the 2nd ES to connect.
As for the corner rushdown, after I knock them down (in the corner), I’ll do:
cr.lk xx jab hook punch or
back+mk xx jab hook punch or
neutral throw, then hit them with standing MP as they’re falling or
UOH xx ES or
Nothing, and parry their wake up uppercut/super, etc
If a lp hook punch connects and you’re at the corner, you can hit them with a db+FP then reset them with a s.lp, and then play the mixup game all over again.
If I connect an ES in the corner, I juggle with a jp denpa (electricity), db+FP, then reset with a standing jab
#1 does 35 damage without the super, plain super does 60 damage if it gets all the hits. So you’re losing 37 points of damage from that magnetic storm. But who cares? Necro builds meter hella fast and SA1 has a short ass meter. I’ll take 58 damage off a c.sk any day.
#2 must hit with the very end of the UOH to work, so either do it super early, or at the edge of its range.
#3 is like doing super off a throw. Why would you ever not want to do this? It may help to delay the super slightly to get more hits. (note: doesn’t work on Yun, Yang, Oro, or Ibuki)
If you’re feeling like a bad ass and you want to do more damage and stun try:
4: throw, s.mp xx SA1. 64 damage. 71 w/ taunt.
This shit does 86 damage on Akuma. That’ll teach him to turtle in a corner.
Of course if you’re looking for some heavy corner punishment, like say you’re facing Ken or Akuma and they want to break your trap with a dragon punch, but you’re hella slick and anticipate, try:
5:b+fp, db+fp, SA1. 74 damage. 88 w/ taunt.
This does an obscene 108 damage on Akuma after a taunt.
So you can be all, “Ooh damn look who got knocked down in the corner? Oh I’m crazy for taunting! I bet you want out, uh oh how you gonna block? Oh look who thought they’d dragon punch their way out? BOW!”
say i’m Necro and have someone in the corner. in general, is it better to reset after a TH/ES combo, or should i just let them fall down and play the wakeup game?
also, would the choice of whether to reset or not depend on who Necro was facing? if so, how?
just needed to bump this thread for being so informative .
Yeah I was wondering do you guys have any tips on doing the light tornado hook to db.fierce? The timing is really wierd and I can’t get it very often. Any tips?
Anyone have any pointers on fighting Urien with Necro?
I recently picked him up and I absolutely love him! I can handle most match-ups just fine, but I’m having a very hard time fighting Urien. It just seems as if he stuffs all of my poke attempts and just flat out kills my pressure game.
I don’t know I always just rush him down, I tend to use alot of the almost straight down dive kicks on him, he seems to have trouble with that. I believe your standing strong should out range alot of his other attacks. Just play smart be patient and keep him blocking that way he can’t corner you because that always seems to be the biggest problem for necro fighting your way out of a corner can be hard.
I notice no one seems to mention Snake Fang (RDP + P) in these discussions?
I use it often. On wakeup = cr. lp > SF or cr.lk > cr.lk > cr.mk > EX SF and then when people catch on start blocking high I use the command grab at the end of the pokes.
This works pretty well for me. It is weak and I am just playing against poor players or what?
The snake fang is actually just qcb+p. It’s alright every once in awhile, especially the EX cause it’s much faster, but… I have had good players parry the normal one on reaction every time I tried it, And then DP me in the face. It’s alright but I wouldn’t say you should even use it every time to you play. It’s kind of like Lk xx qcb lk you may hit someone with that once but try it more than that and yoru ass is grass.
Oh and I don’t know for sure but alot of the characters can probably reverse it into super if they block it. (I could be wrong I don’t use the move that much)
you can’t do that on urien, as far as I know, he falls all funny from the command throw and is to low to the ground to juggle, if you have done it I would like to see that.
