You’ve never walked under a Ken Crossup mk as a shorter character? Do you even play SF?

The only characters that have easy time with Ken’s crossup that I can think of are the following:
Dudley: HCF+Short
Ibuki: QCF+Short
Necro: Jab Electricity (anit-crossup)
Twelve: QCB+Jab (not as reliable as Necro’s)
Of course, other characters can get away also, but at the expense of losing any sort of offensive momentum they were building or wished to build.
Examples:
Akuma: teleport
Urien: Tackle
Alex: Elbow
Also, Oro probably has an easier time than most since he has a very small hit box. Alex, on the other hand, has problems, cause he has the widest hitbox in the game I believe.
Anyway, point is, you won’t get a back throw on Ken if you’re playing a good Ken. And about the back throw after a missed Shoto hurricane kick…you guys must be playing handicaps.

Actually uber, lots of people have moves that is anti crossup.
Yun has the low forward, low strong
Urien has the low strong
Makoto and Oro can both dash under Ken’s jumping forward pretty easily
Alex low fierce works pretty well if you time it a little early. You won’t hit Ken but you’ll move your hitbox away enough for you to gain better footing.
About Necro’s backthrow. It does huge amount of damage (29 to Ryu with HUGE stun damage if I recall correctly). It is hard to land in a match however but not impossible. If you want to be better @ this game, you got to make every openning count. You shouldn’t dissmiss ANYTHING. There will come a time when you will need that extra damage…
One extra setup for hte back throw is doing a roundhouse drill as a crossover during your opponent’s wakeup. It’s a good mixup and if you time it right, you’ll land just in time for the German Suplex. Then again… ChunLi89 already knew that

Anyways, after a fp tornado hook you can do his short kick command grab which becomes a back drop/german suplex, it only does about 14 pt of damage though.

all i can say is this if you cant do the whole backthrow combo dilly…than your not a necro master and should not be posting in here…i dont give a damn if you started this post…cuz thats a simple combo…and that just says your skills are wack :lol:…but im not here for drame…

shadowcharlie, there is a couple different ways, its a short electricity and when they jump in at you only hit them once, when they bounce it depends on thier direction. If they bounce in front of you, you can do a stand Fierce Punch before they hit the ground. If you do the electricity on a crossup, and they flip over you, you can do lots of things, Either DownB+Fierce, or if your good enough, back+strong (elbow) then cancel into SA1. Hope that helps

Don’t worry, it’s not n00bish. That’s actually a very good idea even the mighty Thongbwai had yet to ponder.
However, unfortunately, Necro can’t seem to kara-throw for shit. His moves all have a slow, stationary startup. If he had any sort of kara-throw ability whatsoever, this may very well work. As it stands, you’ll just have to stick with guaranteed stun combos. I feel a new thread coming on…

is b-roundhouse sa3 a combo worth even trying at all or is there something better I can do off b-roundhouse. How do you do that d/b+fierce x 5 stuff in the corner I can only do 2 and that is on hugo. Also is it even worth kara throwing with necro and if so what is his best one. thanks for any help
[Back+roundhouse, (link) standing strong xx SA3] should do the job. Great damage, and very little reduction.
And in my experience, Necro can’t kara-throw for shit.

Its very good to do after a dizzy (wich Necro can do VERY effectivly). its about 40% life and you get almost half stun back w/ a taunt:cool:
and trust me when you dizzy them you will want to taunt, and not only to just be a jerk :lol:. It basically adds a FP of damage to whatever combo you do. (I’ve had a few matches were the B+Fierce-> DB+Fiercecombo after a dizzy, would NOT have killed them w/ out a taunt)
I agree on the Kara-Throwing btw. although one time I got a throw from about an Alex away:eek:
I think it was because the other person did a slow starting/ quick advancing move (F+FP w/ Alex) and I interupted it early…shrugs oh well, havn’t been able to do it since…
