I don’t know how important v-reversals will be, especially once necalli goes beast mode, but I wonder if there will be matchups where you’d rather liberally use v-reversals over saving for V-trigger.
cr.mp gets an additional frame of hitstun so it combos into itself. His cr.hp also loses 2f of startup.

I’m gonna start using Necalli when the game drops since the beta I focused on Mika and Vega. I did notice his stomp pressure isn’t safe on the beta 4, but ill have to retest on release. Using mk stomp allows for counter hit combos if canceled from a medium attack and lk stomp is punishable normally on block. 
People that play characters that have invincible attacks will blow up Necalli his strings into axekicks later on. I was already doing dp’s through that and critical arts.
You can even just do a cr.lp through some of the slower ones. After that the mindgames will start.

I just saw Kazunoko do ** dive kick >cr.lp>cr.lp xx EX. Stomp ** in V-Trigger mode. Does anyone know if that combo also works in non V-Trigger mode?
If you hit it deep enough, yes.
That’s what I was referencing. Cancelling to mk stomp from a medium attack lets you interrupt with a counter hit combo. I’m gonna mess around more when the game drops.
sorry for the stupid question, but has Necalli once in V Trigger any access to his V Reversal? Never checked since i didnt have much beta time…
I tried during beta; it didn’t seem to work so I don’t think so, unless my timing was off.
hmm, pity then. Maybe being able to escape pressure will have to be taken into consideration then whether or not to go into VT. I just used it asap usually, never thought about losing V-Reversal by doing it…
Yeah. Last time I checked I could get up to +8 on hit off divekick

I don’t like the fact that he can transform parts of his body. Or whatever you call it. I expected him to be a regular human being who has outrageous power yet still remains physically human. I know it’s kind of a weird thing to say considering this is fantasy, but yea. I expected him to be an amazonian or something.

The axekicks have a completely different usage than frametrapping. It’s being able to instill the thought that an axekick will can be cancelled from certain normals whiich opens up other opportunities like dashing in.
I’m finding Necalli’s lack of range being one of the most challenging things to work around. He feels at such a disadvantage in the neutral game.
He is in that Mika group though where he can just murder you once close or if he corners you. At least he has a useful v-skill. Mika’s is fucking terrible now.
