i have good news… i get to leave early on friday… so i can meet up with you guys if you leave at 9pm…

This hotel idea is the best in my opinion. These rooms have two TVs, two beds, and a pull out couch. A couple options: get two rooms for Friday and Saturday night and split, get one room and pull up some floor space for both nights, drive real late Friday and try to guarantee an early hotel check-in (which they tried to be asses about last time).
I’m definitely down for leaving Friday, staying Friday and Saturday night, checking out Sunday morning, and then leaving after the tournament Sunday night. I’d say leave as early as possible Friday night, and I’d rather not leave my car at the Durham mall (don’t think this is a very good idea).
…If someone can guarantee me a spot in a car, I’ll go ahead and get the room(s) reserved. Let me know!!!
you know… what … I can take my suv… if the people i drive with agree to pay for gas… i would buy a set of tires to make the trip…

Shit…what may be the best idea (cost effective and reliable) is to get to the lock-in Friday night, stay late, try to get an early check-in at a hotel at like 6, then go to sleep. That will get us two night’s worth of hotel rest for the cost of one…
I saw a commercial the other day for some hotel chain that has changed check-in times to better accommodate travelers. We should probably look into this as well.

Alright, so far we’ve got Tom, Matt, and (maybe) Lobo driving. Everyone is meeting up in Durham. I can drive the rest of the way to C3, but I would rather not/would need a full car to make it worth it. Do we need any more cars than that?
Updated the first post. I’ll reserve a hotel room sometime during the weekday (Monday or Tuesday probably), and Roski will reserve the other. We’re going for an early check in on Saturday morning at like 4ish am or so.
What I’m debating now is who is going in what car. It would be really helpful if someone from Durham could drive. I’m sure nobody wants to be packed with four other people in one car for 8 hours back and forth. I’ll post up some more tonight when I get back from the arcade and such. If there are any changes that need to be made to my original post, PLEASE let me know.
Also, what’s the news on Carl (Javier’s friend) and Nick (YourMaster)? Are they coming?

Yeah, I just got off of the phone with Nick and he said he’s doing some Halo LAN that weekend. Marn, I can give you a ride up to Durham, so you shouldn’t need to worry about it too much. PM me your number so I can call you and get directions to your place again. I know the basic area but I forget how to exactly get there.
Any yeah, Majors pretty much runs all video game content at Animazement that same weekend, so neither him nor Peter will be there.
EDIT: Jibbo, I’m probably only riding with Lobo if he leaves earlier on Friday. Otherwise, I’ll probably just head toward Durham after I get off of work on Friday (5 PM) so I can meet up with you guys. Like I said, I can drive from Durham if need be, I would just need a few people to split gas with

DP: Let me know before you reserve your room, because the early check in can only be done if they have an open room on Friday night, and even then it’s something they don’t do often.
Like we talked about, I think the safest thing is for someone to reserve a room for Friday and Saturday night, and then someone else get the room for just Saturday, and everyone splits both. This will guarantee that if we can’t do an early check in (bc the rooms are full), that we will all still have a place to cram into when we get there at 4 in the morning, and then can split up into both the rooms on Saturday. This would be about $30 a person for the whole stay.
Because of school, I can’t go to the halo lan, but if I can get a ride around 8-9 pm I can go to c3. So, if that’s possible please let me know.

What time are you guys planning on leaving Durham? Because with Nick now having to leave Charlotte around 8 or 9 and then Lobo, we won’t get to Durham until 11 PM or so.
That when im trying to leave anyway like 11 or 12. Get there in the mourning sleep wake up tournament. Worked out pretty smooth last time. Less get all the plans laid out soon like reservations and stuff.
