Hey, can anyone get the owner of Denjin to post here and see if he’s down to run this event?
Most people in Norcal are down with the idea. We can make this event a big California thing.

By all means, if there is any suitable venue that can host such an event, go for it. It is a bit disappointing that norcal no longer has the venue to run it, but hopefully this will allow the event to be even bigger. And if it can also help get the word out about a new arcade, even better.
i hear denjin is all jap sticks, that would be a problem for some players i think, corect me if im wrong its just what i heard. Either way i dont mind

There is room to run console as West Toast was run at Denjin.
And about the game situation, this event might not include the same game lineup as NCR did. I was thinking the lineup include:
3rd Strike
CvS2 (Possibly single game until top 8, we usually use this system in a lot of our tournies here)
MvC2
GG
SF4
ST
and T6 if people are willing to bring consoles.
I spoke with the owner last night and he is definitely willing to do the event, he says he is excited for it to happen. I also mentioned to him about 5on5 Norcal vs Socal in every game and he wants to throw in a trophy as the winning prize for either Norcal or Socal and the winning side (whoever wins more games) gets to take the trophy up north or it stays in socal and it will be a yearly tradition.

To be honest with you, I’m liking that Norcal Team. Depending on the format.
I will say however, I’m liking me to go 4-1 against that team.
Damm, the event looks well spoken so far having it in SoCal but work must be down right away to have it setup within time frame for next month…
I can help run the MvsC tourny. I helped out at the CalPoly and ELAC also a few others…
yeah i think if cvs2/mvc2 was on console that would be a great solution. Everyone would be happy.
Either of those dates are good for me. I think theres a motel6 nearby too where we can all stay/party at.

no t6 is ok i think. jimmy and will would be sad, but like hardly any places in socal even have that game.

It looks like its going to probably be Jan 17 and 18 of 2009. The reason why is because there is that SF4 tourney on that date that we wanted to run it at first and also because that date is a 3 day weekend because of MLK holiday.
Any earlier and it would be too short notice.
But that doesn’t mean you guys can’t come to Denjin before CR.
