What tripped me out was people blaming Javier for KOF even though long before he not only asked people to come out to WNB but even started hosting games at his place w/ stream. Roski, P-Soul, Lu, Darrell, and myself managed to make it out, but none of the people who suddenly crawled out from under the bridge and immediately began posting that no one was playing.
And with the NC spread out thing there are ways around that I believe. Durham, Fayetteville, Greenvile/WIlson (You, James, Matt, and Iason and the other guy I don’t know make about 5 off the top my head), and Raleigh/Cary have a few numbers in each. Some other places too I’m sure, but those are the ones I can think of right now. We could use tournaments such as KDP and/or ReSe to get together and test or skills amongst the rest in the state minus some who’ll travel out to sessions outside. But there are a few in each area that you can find someone to play. Blaming it on “NC is too spread out” sure isn’t gonna help. Just a thought.

Haha yeah when I started boxing again that’s when everyone stopped showing up for KOF, but I still want to give the people hope. This past WNB not only KOF was ran but also AE, so hopefully with everyone’s renewed hopes NC can avoid dark times. People stopped believing in anything it looked like. Only Marvel was left and I greatly feared that if I hadn’t returned sooner it would have possibly sent everything into complete darkness. I haven’t forgotten you KOF! sheds manly tears

Boone had its first gathering with Aquapazza tonight. Literally everyone there tried it and said it was a lot of fun. There were even a couple of new people there. Also played AE and UMvC3 as usual.

Arcana Heart 3 was a lot of fun to me. Its a really good game, so to hear that Aquapazza is a lot of fun too is good as well. Keep it up out there!

It is. Jon should be playing it some too now, he has my copy. It’s jarring at first how non-anime the gameplay is.
I’m really curious as to what SNK is going to be doing next. Wonder if something is already down the pipe…not that we really need more games lol. If they were to actually stop developing with XIII though…I’d probably be okay with that.
I’m expecting a decent turnout for Aquapazza at KDP actually. We got most of the entrants of last months tournament plus a lot of renewed interest. I’m expecting about 10-16 people.
It seems the custom JLF spring mods were well received. I ran out of the most popular one. I’ll order more if there is continued interest. Is there anyone who was not at this week’s WNB that would like the mod?
KOF 13 was a massive bomb in Japan and China, and the new SNKP president hates fighting games.

KDP Next Saturday, there’s no reason to say “I can’t go… I don’t have a ride…” if your from Raleigh as two people Tal and Zach are offering up rides. If nobody hits up Zach he’s gonna ride with Tal though if there’s room but still, get carpools going and discuss situations. Don’t be late, last time we only started 15 minutes late due to some bugs in the system that set us back. Like we always say we’re not screwing around with the time and being some tournament who starts their first games at 4 or 5pm because the goal is to get done as fast as possible and then money match and have casuals going on after.
TH is helping us out this time as well so things will be running that much better overall.

I’m gonna try to make KDP on Saturday, though I won’t be there for the whole time and thus probably won’t actually enter anything. I’ll be happy to pay venue and play casuals, though. My question at this point is, anybody planning on picking up GG for XBLA on Wednesday and bringing it to KDP? I no longer have a PS2 stick, but I have acquired a new dual mod, so I can play on both PS3 and 360.
That vid is accurate, yes. There is a 1 frame difference between the two versions, with 360 being on the faster end of the response.
BUT, the PS3 version is more accurate with regard to the arcade version. The 1 frame of difference is only really beneficial for online play. That said, you should probably just practice on what the tournament’s on.
