Naw son, you’re the one who dodged our $1 money match by saying you’re broke n shit, LIES!!!
I’m doing well with the random teams I’m making and having fun with it, but I seriously do need to settle on a team. I like the assists that Tron/Haggar/Sentinel provide but I feel they’re all pretty bad on point. Amaterasu has been a part of my team across multiple iterations and I’ve always found Zero interesting but didn’t feel like learning how to piano my inputs in order to keep my blaster charged. After seeing you do it on pad I was like “fuck this shit if Jon can do it on pad with his thumb I can do it on a stick with 3 fingers”.
I got AH3 although I’ll admit I’ve barely scratched the surface there. MK9 is here for the time being borrowing it from a friend until I trade in enough of my shit to cop that myself. Used to have SSF4, let a friend borrow that, probably get that back sometime soon though. Its mainly MvC3 though to really answer your question although I wouldn’t be opposed to playing something else. Kinda a mob rules mentality on what gets played.
You didn’t drop the green goblin did you? I keep hearing about your Gen.
He was playing on the PS3 when we were playing on the xbox at Jon’s. Not sure if he was using them the whole time but he was running with Skrull, Sent, Doom when I played him. I guess my team is more annoying/frustrating than scary huh?
Nah, won’t be able to make that one. I’ll be in Fayetteville for a dinner and meeting up with some people to watch the fights.
Oooh you’re OJ - still havent connected everyone to their SRK names. For me scary = rushdown.
I have learned to block that air S now (about time -_-). Morrigin was frsutrating but save for 2-3 matches killing phoenix meant the win. Killing your phoenix is very difficult though…alhough I easily get annoyd while playing you (im sure it showed lol) I really enjoyed the matches and look forward to more for the experience.
OJ, to be fair you were playing with a handicap lol In the future I’m going to try and pick up a 360 stick along with another PS3 stick so I actually can play on a 360 when the only 360 sticks leave the session.
btw, guys, Kadaj and Duo really are amazingly good players. Kadaj is definitely one of the best Marths in the nation and Duo’s Fox practically created a metagame. They both travel to tournaments and rank consistently.
Yea…I think most of the people here don’t really care too much for brawl. Especially considering the dominating topic tends to be SSF4 and MvC3. So their rankings in another game don’t matter too much.
Edit:
I play it but not on a high competitive level. I personally can understand how some of those skills, playing at a pro level, could translate over as mentioned by Duo earlier…but still…totally different games.
Yeah people pick on smash but I think it takes skill to play, just like any game. People just don’t get it so they don’t respect it. Saying stuff like “competitive platformer” is just ignorant really. That game uses a lot of fundamentals you see in other “real fighters”. Spacing and mixups are just as big a part of that game than anything else, they just take different forms than the trained street fighter eye can see. That’s my opinion atleast.
Is it me or does saying “money match me” to a new player always cause them to cower behind the “I play for fun” defense. One of those Raleigh players talked shit told me to get bodied and as soon as I brought money up it was “ohhhh nooooo i only play for fun and to hang out with friends lol.” Fuckin’ new players are soft.
I did coax him into talkin shit on that youtube video for that very purpose. /end edmondantes mode.
I remember traveling to play money matches. Shit definitely helped me grow as a player in ways. These new players need that FIYA
P.S. Mad! is a pussy and probably sucks.
I’m cool with the rest of the Raleigh cats though, like I said me, Will, and Kevin will definitely come to shit. Just set it up.
