Whoa, MOV plays SSF4 now?
We have a lot of good players from every area. It’ll be an interesting tournament, that’s for sure.

Also, MOV played SFIV since vanilla, but he hated it. He said vanilla was a shit game and was worse than Karnov’s Revenge. He started training SSF4 when it was released on console pretty quietly with Ichi (not super awesome SSF4 Ken Ichi, but OG CvS2/3s Ichi) and Kuroda. AFAIK Kuroda has quit playing the game, but who knows with that dude. Now that AE has been released MOV’s Ken is already Grandmaster level.
I’m not sure if he still thinks Karnov’s Revenge is better though lol.
So this area team 5 v 5 thing is a go? If so we should not only do it at the EZ tourney but every tourney.
I guess each area will form their team (if they have more then 5 people) and figure it out.
Personally I think our area (the triangle) should hold a few small mini tournaments at a few of our sessions to determine our team.
Does the triangle even have 5 consistent players? lol
Also you still wanna try carpooling to elite zone on a friday sometime Jos? I’m still down at some point. I was just in Fayetteville yesterday actually, the drive isn’t THAT bad.
I consistently go out to the gatherings and tournaments and stuff just like if its 5v5 mvc3 then I guess not so much. Also that would be pretty amazing if you and Jose could go. I know Jose can do alot of the videos/streaming stuff and Seventh and I are also contributing to it. We really need some more support from RDU at elite zone lol that would REALLY show the venue we are serious.

Hell yeah, the Triangle area should do 2 carpools down to Fayetteville this week, bring 10 players… fuck it bring 12 and throw someone in the trunk. Also I updated the tournament thread to include the regional 5v5, it’s gonna be a round robin with a $10 entry fee. I think the only areas that can produce 5 solid players are:
Triangle
Triad
Charlotte
Fayetteville
Greenville
I was gonna list Wilmington but I can’t think of more than 3 known players who play MvC3 well and I believe Alex already said he couldn’t make it. Get HYPE, HYPE, HYPE, HYPE, HYPE, HYPE, HYPE!!!11!!1!!!
This is awsome, I’m so much more exicted about this tournament with the regional 5v5 now.
Is the teams entry $10 per team or $10 per person per team ($50 team) ?
I think there should be an allowance for “mixed region” teams for those that may not have 5 solid players in one region, but still want to be a part of the teams tournament and want to link up with other areas that don’t have 5 either.
Yea i’ve been trying to get the second carpool stuff going for a while just because it would help Brandino out if he could get a ride and also we could get more players overall.
$10 per player and if your region doesn’t have 5 players just hook up with the nearest major area and join their team.
If anyone is willing to pick me up from NCSU, I’ll carpool 
If Jon or Jose can do this then there would be a full two cars assuming they both wanted to go and could also pick up Kris and Brandino at NCSU assuming Brandino is still able to go = 5 and then I can also invite another friend for getting 10 people from RDU up there.

While they probably assumed I’d love to have this ad activated multiple times by mistake, hear some american idol reject destroy a classic song only to have him KEEP singing even when I minimize this ad -
I actually hate Nokia now, more specifically the Nokia Astound. I previously had no negative feelings towards Nokia save for their future disabandonment of Symbian in favor for Windows Mobile, but now I vow to never buy a Nokia phone because of this ad.
EDIT: I reserve the right to revoke this vow if the Nokia Morph is ever made available to consumers

Damn, right when I was going to say my place is open for sessions in the RDU area on Fridays lol Well I’ll keep my place open for Fridays if anyone wants to put it up on the front page for future use, but if everyone is going down to Fayetteville on Friday and if someone doesn’t mind running by Southpoint Mall to pick me I’m down to get to Fayetteville to see some old friends.
Ow so there will be two cars for the Triangle area.
Car 1 = Josiah, Jon, Kris, Brandon, Azn_Boy (I think your name was Erik or something right?)
Car 2 = Mike… his friends?
We normally get like 20 players from Fayetteville alone along with 5-10 players from the surrounding area. Throw in 10 players from the Triangle area and we can potentially have up to 35-40 players this session, thank god we have a big venue and enough setups to accommodate all of that. I may have to show up to EZ early again on Friday to hook up all the extra TV’s we never use in the back room.
Just think of this as your farewell session.

If I’m driving Fri I don’t mind picking people up everyone needs to contribute to gas though, just PM me if you are one of the raleigh/cary people that need a ride to EZ on Fri so I can keep track of everything. If I can’t pick you up for whatever reason (timing, to far) i’ll let you know just PM me so we can find out.
@Old Man Doom Fridays at your place is a good idea, I know we all aren’t going to drive to fayetville every week. I’ll probably be going twice a month, once for a session and once for the tournament.
