Only the 360 version needs to be online to be patched; the PS3 patch is downloaded, so it doesn’t have to be online for the updated version. Button checks only take forever if the players involved are retarded, and the only difference between the versions is Kratos, who is banned. MK is good, people get on that shit.

Before this thread goes down the crap shoot, who here plays on the regular? I live in Raleigh and I’m trying to met up with as many different people as I can to play sessions with. I more than likely won’t bother with tournaments again until June since I have a competition I’m preparing for in May, so even though I can’t get too serious right now I at least want to get the juices going. I really do not like online and the only game I actually do play online is Halo for various reasons, so I’d rather go out and actually interact with people face-to-face. If there are people to play against, I’ll play, but if not then it seems like a big waste to me no matter how good I can become. It was one of the main reasons I left fighters before and picked up on shooters. Right now the games I’m interested in are MvC3 and Tekken 6, but due to the lack of a decent Tekken community in NC I may just replace it with SSFIV and use T6 and AH3 for side play. I can pick up on the game during my own spare time, but I’m just not interested in practicing a game for single play only.
