That’s what I’ve come to see in vids and people online with an idea of what to do. . .Haggar assist seems to just give Sent free S with no real problems…but maybe there’s something around it I haven’t really caught on to yet. . .

I think it’s more a preference of playstyle. Yes, you can prevent “brainless” offense with a good AA assist, but on the other hand, access to a good AA assist can make defense seem pretty brainless as well. Look at the way Haggar’s Double Lariat assist is being used now, does that seem like it takes a whole lot of thought? I’m not saying it’s perfect or unpunishable, but it’s comparatively much safer than committing to a DP, for example, not to mention waaaaaay more flexible.
