I agree with you, but to be honest with you there have been trolls on this forum before who have done the same thing. Its only natural for people to start assuming by the trash talking you started doing without even knowing any of the people here first. Not judging personally, especially since I pretty much did the same thing myself. Its really frustrating when you put yourself out there to try and meet up with people, but don’t take the troll thing too seriously. Just keep your game up. Will hit you back up sometime and we can talk more then.
I have to say, I really hate that excuse. Typing like you’re uneducated, when you know better and you’re just too lazy to do it right, really sucks. But more importantly, it makes it a lot harder to get your point across to people. They will either have difficulty understanding what you said or they won’t take you seriously.

Yeah…the problem is we’ve had fake accounts/trolls actually bait people with doing exactly what you’re doing. That’s why they were sensitive to it. But really, at least in a scene as far spread out as we are, you have to take it on yourself to show to an event, get to know some people and make contacts, then hit some gatherings.
No - spreadsheets were 20x classier than that. Credit where it is due.
It’s somebody’s home. Can’t be expected to just hand out invites, or expect the board to hand out somebody else’s info.
If it were me, I would show up to a tournament or two just so people had some idea who I was and not some random trying to set somebody up. Just sayin’…
I mean, the dude is from the Buffalo scene, which makes him seem more legit to me. I remember Cha Cha from way back, so chances are good this guy is probably a decent player. But yeah, better to show to a tournament if you can.

Definitely. I have even told many people the spreadsheet idea seemed like a really good idea on paper. Unfortunately, the cancerous personality and driving force behind the spreadsheet idea kind of turned anything they touched into drama. Trolling as a method to get competition. Definitely seen that somewhere before.
