Wasn’t bazooka knee always negative? Even in Alpha?
Apparently, c.lk to s.lp, s.mp (Target Combo) no longer works, the MP whiffs now due to increased pushback on the jab.
While I wouldn’t be surprised if it was removed (to put him in line with the rest of the cast), I’m pretty sure this whiffed at certain ranges anyway. Need visual evidence first though
From playing the PSX Build, I can confirm this is true. s. lp pushes back much further on hit.
Not surprised since they removed something similar from R.Mika (s.Jab, s.Short~Strong TC) but for frame data changes.

I don’t see why they removed that link unless s.LK~MK was special cancelable now.
If st.LP pushes back further then I don’t see how LK-MK, LP-MP is going to work. Surely the MP will just whiff, right?
In the PSX build, s. LK ~ s. MK to s. LP ~ s. MP does not work. The MP whiffs completely. Instead, you can do s. LP xx QCB+LK

I never really got the purpose of most of his target combos after the all the damage nerfs Capcom has done. LP-MP and cr.MP-t.MP are pretty much the only ones you need.

MK~HK~f.mk and mp~lk~hp is good if you want to corner carry.
Opening with s.LK>s.MK is good because it’s a safe hitconfirm. s.LP>s.MP however isn’t.
Man,I know in beta 1 his target combos were the go to for optimized stun. I always went for that instead of the damage. Guess that’s it for that.
I’ll miss bazooka as a godlike whiff punish, but i take heart that at least the other characters suck now too.
Is it me or has the Nash hype vaned too quickly? He is one of the most popular characters from the Alpha era, yet no one seems to care about him. He can’t even make top 5 in any recent polls. I’m going to main him no matter what, but I wonder caused him to be not so popular all of a sudden?
It started when they initially nerfed the crap out of him, I don’t think he’s ever overcome that stigma, people probably just assume he won’t be that good.
that happens all the time, just like people who request a game to death and when capcom releases it not many people support it
It could be a case of fans not liking how he came back. Being Frankenstein did turn off a few people.
My excitement for this character slowly but surely waned away as I continued to hear about nerfs to both effectiveness and enjoy-ability.
Hoping the final version is as dope as he should be.
