Mars is another shitty venture by us. Elon musk with his pseudoscience of putting nukes at the poles to jump start the terraforming, and everyone accepts it without question. Not to mention the cost, and overall complications of living there even if you do terraform it, which would take a shit ton of time, and trial and error.
The people who froth at the mouth at going to mars, are also idiots, and mostly middle class 20-35 year olds who think theyre somehow going to be able to afford to live on mars if they did have the chance, or they will somehow be the chosen few to live on this planet almost half the size of our own planet.
Explore space fo sho, but if youre going to just give up on earth already, just do the nwo conspiracy plan, wipe out 70 percent of us, and then start over. lol. If not, than im sure tens of billions of dollars over the course of decades to come would be better invested in our species, and planet as a whole.
Elon Musk, i don’t care if he’s a super villain in disguise, just give us Gundams. Nuke the world if you have to, but give me DeathScythe to go with this cancer. Hah, “nuke Mars”, come on guys…it’s obviously a ploy to conquer the world.
This is incredible. We all may be able to go into space during our life times. Or even set foot on another planet. And if they could potentially reach pluto within 2 yrs. That means the other 7 planets are accessible. From what I heard, it rains diamonds on Saturn. Imagine all the other minerals and materials we could find? All new things to build stuff with. Minerals that could harness energy better than anything on earth ever could. Materials that could be used to build things that was thought impossible to build before. Space mining will be the new big thing.
I’m surprised how NASA has really pushing it quickly in the last months: Water in Mars, animals in Venus and now they decide to “reveal” they mastered EM Drive.
It’s only matter of 15 years or so until they reveal they’ve been in contact with aliens.
Fuck Mars. I may regret these words, but we should colonize our Moon. I really want to see commercial interests kept completely OUT of it, but just being able to get there is a start.
Honestly, I’m a bit skeptical. There are several reasons for this that could be verified if they would publish data with the cavity on for longer then a couple seconds, but they haven’t. Also looking at the data it produces thrust but that thrust decays. Most of their numbers are quoted from the initial thrust before it starts to decay which is cherry picking at best. Several of the likely explanation predict that behavior, but predict the thrust goes to zero. If it doesn’t produce sustained thrust then it won’t be good for anything.
Was very pro EM drive until I started looking at the data and personally think it is just going to be a pipe dream.
This drive has been around for awhile, just nobody believed it could do what they claimed it could. NASA has been testing this since 2009, if I recall.
Agreed. Multicorporations having complete say (and the only ability to reach) certain planets, is a bad thing no matter how you look at it.
