NASA (F*CKED UP ...again) Discovery of New Life Form

It’s just going to be bacteria, which I thought we had already discovered. Nothing really exciting.

It will take either a World War or intergalactic space discoveries/exploration to get this economy recovering. Maybe we’ll manufacture something.

NASA has got the most “utility” or “points” out of any government agency, by an independent, third party observations:

Whether or not you like it, NASA isn’t going anywhere.

Space jellyfish would be terrifying.

What about Space Sharks, with laserz

You guys are aware that the “oxygen atmoshpere” on the moon in the OP actually contains about 0.0000001% of the oxygen found in Earth’s atmosphere? And that that moon’s midday temperatures peak at like -100C? I am extremely skeptical that there will be anything close to “life” anywhere else in the solar system…everywhere besides Earth is just too inhospitable for life to arise. If we ever find anything, it’s going to be on another planet in some other system. And the ability to search out there is a long way off.

They already landed.

I won’t expect to find a giraffe on the planet, but some sort of organism that has evolved and adapted to those extreme conditions, it will be like nothing on this planet

life has proven to be very resilient in harsh conditions on earth

It will be funny if they just found some redneck from Texas just chillin on Mars that’s been there for years, saying that the aliens who abducted him dropped him off on the wrong planet.

NASA: “We uh… we found Cletus from Arlington. Looks like his family was telling the truth the whole time.”

^_-;

nasa isn’t the government money sink

its social security, medicare, medicaid, and other entitlements, as well as the military. cutting nasa is not the answer.

science is a worthy goal in and of itself. however, i think to advance space exploration, government should divert NASA funding and use it to subsidize research joint ventures with corporations.

dem aliens gunna tek meh jurb.

not really. diddnt the Pope say a few years back that it was ok to believe in aliens? if i remember correctly he said to not believe in aliens would be limiting gods power, and that it was all good if everyone believed in other life

Personally, if we keep pounding all of our money into research, and less into education, there won’t be any researchers left in a couple generations.

Just saying.

During the journey in search of ET life, couldn’t they make a truck stop at a planet/moon like Rhea for oxygen… or even develop a station, with an artificial biosphere feeding off of that moon’s naturally occurring oxygen supply? That’s what made it interesting to me. I’m not anticipating going skiing there one day.

‘Life as we don’t know it’ discovery could prove existence of aliens - Telegraph

I was really hoping for a Predator but this is still interesting
At the heart of his theory is that life on earth may have come and gone many times during the planet’s existence.

These creatures are the remnants of the previous inhabitants.

folks, there is life out there. the universe is a might large place to say otherwise.

I’ve always wondered if our defnintion of life was simply way off. We’re always learning about new shit out there, so who knows? I’m sure there are some aliens on the other side of the universe thinking the same shit about a place like earth. “Water, sun, oxygen? Get the fuck outta here. Life would never work there.”

Yeah and they can use that bombin’ brown people money to fix our failing public schools. There is NO excuse for that, but that’s another rant.

Anyway, maybe they found a fossilized turd. That would be pretty cool and no, I’m not trying to be a smart ass.

It would be awesome if they showed us videos of a planet with dinosaurs on it.
