I just got Naruto ultimate ninja storm generations and I was hoping to find some good info online on how to get good at the fighting game but all I found is about tilt cancelling and that cinematic’s in combos cant be substituted or assisted out of. however I would like to know a game plan on characters such as Sasuke or Gaara or anyone beginner friendly or if their is just a gameplan for every character also some beginner tips would be helpful too 
Oh, you don’t need to tilt cancel to do combos. press A and move to the side right before the cinematics and you can combo into a chakra move(Ultimate Jutsu, Jutsu. Chakra Shurikens)

i advise you to try out Storm 3 though, got more characters and some new mechanics.
The best thing is the characters are just like the show in terms of speed, power, and jutsus. It’s great.
Number one key to being king: DO NOT EVER RUN OUT OF SUBS
Know when to block and when to sub. Use your kunai. Use your items. Don’t run out of chakra. PRACTICE AND HAVE FUN. It’s not rocket science.
And don’t forget you have TAIJUTSU. Especially with someone fierce like Neji or Kabuto.
