Deidara’s Jutsu can be dodged but it seems to have better tracking than some of the projectile based ones tbf… Try to leave it quite late but not last minute or alternatively get a jump in early and follow it up with a delayed one just afterwards. Altneratively just pick neiji, hinata or pain as assists and use that to avoid it.
Deidara’s jutsu has a Veeeery slow start-up, just throw shuriken at him when you see a jutsu’s name in the bottom of the screen… either that or just side jump when its close by to make it miss.
Yeah, that shit is pretty dumb. That feature has been there since Accel 3, though. I guess it was their way to balance and proportionate things out with the chakra cost being bigger than the previous game. If that’s the case, it’s really badly done because now that some awakenings are gayer than ever, it’s easier to get them.
Akamaru is god tier. Then, it’s Kiba. Paired with the right assist he can pretty much gay up everyone in the game.
I was about to make a post about how Temari is not so bad after all. I played a couple of matches against dudes that actually knew what they were doing and realized that she’s pretty good, lol. I was QQing about the fact that she didn’t have good offensive options but in that game, attacking is pretty bad because everything is unsafe. So yeah, just play a keep-away playstyle and you’re good - stupid QQ from my part. Aside from my Ino/A-Tobi/A-Rock Lee team, I mainly play Temari/A-Deidara/A-Tobi and it works pretty good. I’m gonna try B-Chiyo later if you say she’s that good. I knew her assist was good, but I never thought about putting her in Balance for shurikens covering fire.
Just jump on them and hold the block button. It ain’t Mahvel - chip is ass in this game.
I play it on my arcade stick. You can’t use the special items that give you power ups, but if you have a Madcatz stick you can be cheap and turn your turbo on so you substitute from every combo you ever get put in.
Few things I’ve observed
-Shinra Tensei/Almighty Push, whether it’s the jutsu itself or the support attack, is the DP/SRK of this game. You wouldn’t believe how many people I’ve encountered last night using it on wakeup. SOOOO easy to bait.
-[Short hop > O] seems to be a useful blockstring though I think it depends on the character’s j.O if it’ll be useful if TK’d or not. So far, I’ve heard that Kakashi and Killer Bee has good j.Os ( watch @ 6:13 and 7:44)
- [Blocked X-Dash > Jutsu/Ougi] a very gimmicky frame trap? (Is that the right term?) A lot of people I’ve encountered online like to grab after they’ve blocked my obvious X-Dash and so if I predict they’ll block it and go for a grab, I chakra load during the X-Dash animation and do a jutsu/ougi while they’re trying to grab. It doesn’t have to be a grab, if you feel they’re mashy, this works on them too. But like I said before, this is very gimmicky, a smart player can just hold block and the blue aura when you chakra load during the X-Dash gives it away.
Try not to influence people to do that. There’s enough BS to deal with without people using Turbo.
Me, Warna Brother and Rioting Soul stayed up til like close to 5 AM plunking hours into this game. I haven’t even gone through the story mode but we were still unlocking characters just by playing so much. Game may not be deep but it’s still fun as hell. I think the only way to play this game at all is with the assists. Guy’s Ougi has such a horrible time hitting people lol.
Hell, Guy’s ougi is still hard to chain off of assists that put your opponent in standing hitstun long enough to get a jutsu/ougi in like Chiyo’s or Hidan.
yo shine ill play with you this weekend
you invted me but i was busy doing campain bro
got now all chars
oh btw. are there lobbys ? never played online except for 2 ranked matches :o
You know what I really love? Itachi’s awakening being completely immune to kunai
well this game is officially garbage for me. I just played 45 SM narutos in a row that ALL did nothing but spam Chiyo assist then Rasengan barrage or Pain’s BS shinra tensei when i get close…
oh and they all had turbo Knj’ing too.
this game gets 2/10 from a competitive standpoint, maybe 5 or 6 for the fun factor.
Yea, that awakening is annoying. When I play as my main though, it gets really fun because they constantly try to spam attacks at me and can’t catch me. Finishing him off with a Rasengan while he’s still in awakening makes it even more hilarious. Lol, Minato really lives up to his name in this game.
Let me ask one thing, is there a video tutorial of the game somewhere ? Does it even matter ?
It’s my first naruto game ( except Gekito 2 on Game Cube ) and i don’t understand shit.
Maybe i’m incredibly bad OR the game is incredibly unbalanced.
I play Neji, he’s cool. His attacks are cool, especially the throw but i have the feeling that he is totally useless…
I can’t explain what i would like to explain, too much technical terms for my english level, but for example, what is the point of his awakening ? He takes out his opponent’s chakra but, they still can transmutate out of his attacks OR even bring out their partner when they are being hit ! It’s fucking useless !
And why the fuck the partner system works that way ? Being able to stop any attack while being hit is fucking stupid… even KOF2000 wasn’t that retarded if i remember well…
I don’t even want to talk about the other character you get to fight online… Deidara/Naruto++/yondaime x1000 herpderp… they’re so much better than Neji… Fuck. I don’t want to be a tier whore, i just want to play the ( ONLY ) character i like in this game.
And i don’t get the transmutation thing, still mashing the buttons to do it. I try not to but…
lol, it’s best if you just play with people you know then. Do you live in Europe or near it? I wouldn’t mind playing against you altho it’d be somewhat laggy ^_^;
lol im nowhere near Europe bro, im West Coast US xD
although if this was like 2 months ago I was actually living right besides you (in Yemen).
Oh well, I might start to use my TE stick to turbo KnJ like everyone else online, getting left is no fun >_>
im kidding btw…
Anyone got any tips/item suggestions for the Story Mode Kakuzu fight? No matter what the hell I do he always dips me under half health which is an automatic A rank while I’m trying my damndest to get S.
A Substitution Scroll should help when he starts spamming attacks at you. Try using TortoiseShell Pills too.
I argued about this a while back and then the generic response I got from GameFAQs kids (lol) was “maybe the game isn’t about combos but about using your assists correctly.” Okay that may be one way of looking at it but congratulations, the game you overpraise is now super campy due to this mindset.
Not hating on the game itself, just hating on how the game is played when shit like this allowed.
Yeah I’ve pretty much given up on ranked matches already. It’s always Itachi or SM Naruto I end up fighting. With player matches the variety is a little better don’t see my win/loss ratio get worse than it already is. One day I’ll say fuck it and start tier whoring, but for right now I’m avoiding that.
Unfortunately I dont know of any vid tutorials for UNS2, however this one was helpful for me for UNS1 and alot of the statements still apply:
The game IS incredibly unbalanced. I’d actually say Neji’s awakening is one of the better ones (when it isn’t compared to the “god mode” ones like Itachi, Naruto, etc). The chakra drain is great because alot of other awakenings simply lack that and only boost your characters damage or speed. With that being said, I still have much issues with this game compared to UNS1 because this game is handing out chakra like candy–especially since everyone gets a full bar of chakra for free when they have about 80% life remaining. It just ruins any strategy revolving around chakra denial.
You should definitely mash for the teleport. No shame in that.
I haven’t got the game yet, so care to fill me in on what you mean by this?
