He didn’t lose to the Fourth. Fourth is dead and he’s alive. Sounds like a win to me.

I guess if you think in terms of a 1 vs 1 battle. Dead or Alive. Sure. 4th Hokage’s death had a deep purpose though.
Overall it was a failure on Madara’s part. I am sure he expected to do more in Konoha at the time.

While we may not know much about Tobi, him dropping by the kage meet, taking Sasuke, telling the kages a story, and then being like peace nigs see you later was as G as you can get.

I do admit he got pretty good confidence in himself it he went through all of that.

yes, sometimes i wish too he would downright blitz some powerful ninjas but he is a different kind of villian. it was mentioned several times before madara is not the man he was once before. like black jesus said. there is a reason why he can’t do all that.

And that’s fine that he hasn’t, but until he DOES do something like that - he is still Renji tier. He’s being setup to be the big bad last boss - but so far he hasn’t had a single convincing showing of awesomeness - short of playing whack a mole with Naruto. And its not like there is a reason for him to hold back at this point.

At this point it’s beginning to seem highly likely that Madara isn’t gonna be “last boss”, IMO. I know he’s weakened and such from his battle with Hashirama and we aren’t seeing his true strength…but Kishi still keeps throwing him into situations to job out hardcore.

Sasuke as last boss I could totally buy. Kabuto as well. Madara? Not really, unless to quote Brie Larson when talking about Scott Pilgrim, “he just opens an industrial sized can of whoopass on everybody” when he gets his full powers back.

I always thought the last boss would be Sasuke.

On Obito being Madara, how many years were in between his death and the attack on Konoha. Another example on it being Obito is the space/time abilities of his and Kakashi’s sharingan.

2. After this, he’ll ultimatly no longer need Sasuke and Kabuto will go for him. Sasuke wil lend up fighting ALL the former akatsuki memeber and Kabuto…and win…but ultimatly die for it while saving Konoha…invariably “repairing” the legacy of the Uchiha.
3. Sasuke’s last sacrifice will aid Naruto with beating Madara…

agree. on the surface he doesn’t seem to be much convincing. neither is he the fireworks and the big explosions like pain nor does he have the magnificent charism of an orochimaru but in the grand scheme of things that is why he is still in the game and the others are not. he is carefully operating in the shadows, slowly but surely sleazing his way back to the top. ninja style.

also i think the whole reason why he gets beat up is that madara can afford it. he keeps suffering injuries because he can without any permanent damage. very much like naruto his tenacity is what makes him so threatening. doesn’t matter how much you beat him up or how amazing you look against him. he will still come out on top at the end.

We did see him use genjutsu on the 9T…and thats ‘arguably’ the current form of Madara…so him not hitting Konan with a genjutsu to open up is just dumb. He could have just pulled the info out of her. Not as fun as ‘fighting’, but I’m not interested in watching him fight if all he’s going to do is the same shit we’ve been watching him do thus far.

Shit Danzo was a MUCH more interesting fight.

hmm…maybe Zetsu ATE the original MAdara, and Madara’s chakras were so strong he forged a bew him using other matter that Zetsu ate…which is why he wants to be whole…to be his old self again.

not that he ate him, but i do believe he has something to do with madara. that plant kinda thing where madara got his new arm from, and that blood like substance that came out of the wound resemble aloes work. also on the only showing 1 eye part, he might have actually used izanagi to survive the 1st killing him. thats why he only shows 1 eye.
