Presumably because of Hiashi’s lack of faith in Hinata… probably mixed in with Hiashi’s relationship with his brother Hizashi, seeing as how he acknowledged Hizashi as being at least on par with him, if not stronger.

Really disappointed with the latest episode. They wasted way to much time with those flash backs. Also, why didn’t Hinata use her trigrams palm shield shit? She could have protected herself from those chakra blast and used the sharp… chakra laser things that she can make to cut the poles. Also, shouldn’t she have been able to see the waves of chakra that pain shoots with her byakagun?
Then we’ve got naruo waiting until she get’s killed to unleash the beast. He needs to be more like Ichigo who doesn’t believe in an ace in the whole. When ichigo get’s into some shit, he goes bankai no questions asked. Naruto is capable of controlling the 9 tails to a point. No more sage energy and I’m down and out. If Pain wants the 9 tails, he’s going to get it. Activate the shroud right quick for instant healing, use the boost to throw out 3 clones to collect nature energy and then go 2 tails and dig in that ass with ranged attacks. Then later go into sage mod while I’m in the red. Kill the final Pain clone and the problem is partially solved and we can all move on with our lives. If weak ass hinata can manage to land a hit, I know I could with the use of red chakra. I think the fact that this show is mostly made for kids, that the creators don’t think that people think about these kinds of things. I mean really, sometimes they come up with these well thought out plans and then other times, they just do dumb shit.

That, BTW, is always something that annoyed the hell out of me about Naruto. There are so many characters that the fans actually give a fuck about… there’s no reason the filler should be so bad. You don’t have to create boring, shitty characters, and make up some dumbass story. If you want to kill a month and a half, do a Hyuuga Gaiden or something like that.
I hate to compare One Piece, but this is more of a “something OP does right, that Naruto would be even better at it thought out”…OP - they take the cover work and split that into filler…as you just mentioned, with a cast that so many people actually like and care about, its incredibly foolish of them to not use that as fodder for filler.

I always thought it should have been mini-gaidens of [the history and] lesser featured cast that is more liked than the main [story and] cast but has much [reference material and wanted] back story to work with.

Senju-gaiden a 2 or 3 parter on this clans formation [or reason behind current lack there of]
Uchia-gaiden a 2 or 3 parter on this clans formation [we’ve kind of seen the massacre though]
Hy?ga-gaiden a 2 or 3 parter on this clans formation [ties to Uchia?] and into konoha maybe a one shot of Neji/Hinata during the time jump.
similar lines with Aburame, Akimichi, Inuzuka, Nara, Yamanaka, and maybe Sarutobi clan gaidens [before or after Asuma’s death] with respective rookie 9 member one shots.
Only issue with that would be - it needs to be co-signed by Kishi…

Itchigo from what i know…was about to DIE when he went berserk. Bankai hasnt really done anything cept kill the weaklings. Naruto has been going in and out of rage mode since the get go lol. Naruto also has had fast regen abilitys cuz of the fox’s mojo.

True. I figure Kishi could outline some canon background info for the filler writters to work with. it almost worked in bleach… bounts make me :sad: inside
rough examples:
- Hyuga twins; prince and popper. shows flash back fight between bros for head of Hyuga clan, and 1st spar were hanabi rivals hinata. Show that younger bro and hinata actually held back and for what reason.
- team before clan; friend no jutsu. See 1st formation of OG team Ino-Shika-Ch? and the effect on their respective clans’ members.
