Question about the Sage of 6 Paths markings on Naruto…So Madara said that the sage basically had two inheritors, the senju (sage’s body) and uchiha (sage’s eyes). Is it fair to interpret the symbols and change in naruto’s body (at least representationally) as saying that he’s arrived at a counter-point to sasuke’s sharingan? And if so, why would it take a bijuu to get to that point? Doesn’t it seem a bit odd that Naruto would need the addition of something as powerful as a bijuu to lvl up his body to the same level that sasuke has with his sharingan, when harishima without a bijuu was on par if not stronger than madara?
The First had wood jutsu which in itself was strong enough to shut that bijuu shit down. Don’t forget as well that Madara has more than likely learned alot of his jutsu’s AFTER the VoTE fight.
As well, I have this gut feeling that the seals on Naruto were actually originally created by the Sage when he broke the ten tails up…and its appearance has more to do with the old seal which seperates the tails, then NAruto being the heir apparent and shit. On another note, if you do want to run with the comparison of the two kids of the Sage, one inherited the eyes, while the other inhereited his will and body…as well he was named the successor…so obviously the question is - successor to WHAT? So you could easily say “Sasuke has the eyes of the Sage” while Naruto has the body/will/and succession (aka tailed beast) of the Sage.

I think in the very least, Kishimoto is trying to show Naruto and Sasuke as parallels to the sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. Whether there is a deeper connection between Naruto, the Senju, and ultimately the Sage of the Six Paths, has yet to be confirmed, but Madara does think that the fire of the Senju burns within Naruto (see here: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/462/14/).
As for Hashirama, wasn’t he able to control bijuu, and that he actually had multiple bijuu in his possession (which he later gave to other villages as peace treaties)?

I don’t think he needed a bijuu to get to this point. I think it’s more like he couldn’t get to this point because of his current (now previous) relationship with his bijuu.
He wasn’t properly merged up with the 9T and had to go through a series of seal locks and unlocks (Oro/J doing stuff to it, J messing with it some more, Dad’s key, Mom assist, etc) to get the vintage Sage emblem.
I think MUSOLINI was the only person I ever added to the ignore list since I’ve been here. There might have been someone else, but he’s the only one I remember.

finally a good episode again. nagato’s voice sounds great and the sound the ventilator makes when he breathes, almost darth vader like. really atmospheric. next week is a suzuki episode which should be good :woot:
