It’s certainly better than the turtle fest NUNS2 is, but it still has a ways to go. Turtling still works to an extent and if you try to rushdown and your opponent’s defense causes you to make a mistake and use up a KnJ first, it’s going to be hard to catch up since the game’s momentum is heavily based on the KnJ Meter now.
Couple of things I noticed while completing the story mode last night. Not sure if this is just me being bad again or how the game is balanced. Keep in mind I’ve only played the AI and have 1 online match under my belt so far. UNDEFEATED!! :wtf:
Big body awakenings appeared somewhat free to faster characters. I was getting bodied kind of hard when using Hachibi form or Susanoo at close range. In my one online match I was using final Naruto against this guys Sasuke. He went into Susanoo after I turned on Yellow Kyubi Mode and he seemed pretty helpless as I flashed around him mashing B. Even KnJ just kind of shuffled that big ass target around right in front of me.
Also Sasori and Deidara were sooo free at close range. Sakura bodied my Sasori about 5 times in a row before I figured out I had to stay a mile away from her at all times and not let her rush my shit down. He was a little difficult to figure out with the puppets and his awakening while she was in my mouth.
I’ve been searching the web for any kind of resources for this game but coming up with nothing so far. :bluu:
It’s like a 3D version of UmvC3 if it had combo breakers (sub jutsu). Very team based game, although you could play it as 1vs1 too. Easy to pick up and play. Which is good because then you can have a bunch of characters you play good with instead of only a couple. It’s not as hype as the other games, but its much better looking. When it came down to it though since both SFXT and this game came out around the same time, I had to make a choice about which to get first. And I’m glad I chose this game over SFXT. With all the lame ass crap they did with the xbox 360 version of the game.

CHAKRA SHURIKEN ALL DAY BABY
I’ve only played Clash of Ninja games, hows it compare to those?
also, its a team oriented game? How many teammates do you get? Any special team based moves?
This game is pretty shallow compared to pretty much every other fighter out there.
You get one main character and two assists. There is a team super that does like 50% life, lol
Well, is it at least more in depth than Ultimate Tenkaichi?
Seriously, that game was so easy and broken, if I landed one hit I won the game with inescapable set ups afterward, no kidding. Got soooo many rage quits before I decided to sell that game.

Id say it’s deeper than Ultimate Tenkaichi
Played online again tonight and it seems like a majority of players don’t have a faintest idea of what the concept of “conservation” is. People keep KnJing the moment they get hit and they get caught right back into a combo. IMO, sometimes it’s better to take a few hits and being random with your KnJ, than burning it all up in the first few seconds of the match only to get caught in a very damaging combo. o_O
Hows the netcode so far? NUNS2 had SNK-level loljapanesenetcode, does this one improve on it in any way?
Feels more or less the same.
Alright, so I’ve been waiting forever to get a naruto game. Did they get it right this time? I haven’t played any of the previous games because I figured they were going through a DBZ phase. Is now the time to get one?

This is CC2’s first time actually balancing a fighting game so expect them to not get it right the first time, that said, it’s a step in the right direction. For instance, as you can see, KnJing is now limited so you’re now forced to play a “smart offense.” Turtling still works but then you’ll eventually have to use up a KnJ or else have your guard broken. However jump blocking is still effective to an extent unfortunately.
I’ll be happy once they find the balance between turtling and offense both being viable. Turtling/keeping it lame is a completely viable playstyle just like rushdown and IMO it should be respected as such.
What is jump blocking and why is it bad? Any vids as an example?
Unlocked Masked Man today.
easiest wins ever
Even when I avoid masked man’s jutsu, it still hits even after sub jutsu-ing. I swear you have to come up with a whole new game plan to play against him. _
Tsuchikage MIGHT be better than Masked Man. Even when you hit him, the rocks still go out.
