That’s weird. There’s a section saying tournament and casual matches right there on the front page. Unless you were looking at the page about a week or so back when their site looked weird with Mozilla. Also, make sure you’re signed up with the forums instead of the actual site, they’re two seperate things.
This game and the PS2 games are enormously different. The gamecube games play more like a traditional 3D fighter with multiplayer and such also, where the PS2 fighting games are slightly more like Smash Bros/Powerstone.
Damage setting at 2 (default)
Time at 90 sec. (for 1v1)
1v1 tends to be the standard right now, but only because there’s still alot of stuff to get used to before moving on to 3v3. and then there’s even more to learn. I have a feeling both 1v1 and 3v3 will be commonly used even late in the game’s life.
Here are the Kisame and Zabuza combos I’ve been working on. Gasaraki is working on Sasuke and we will probably merge what we have tomorrow. If you don’t happen to play either of these chars… don’t worry, we will get to your char soon… or you could start posting up what you have and we can add that stuff too!
Ah I see, thanks for the info. And good stuff with Oro (or anyone with good strings).
GNT4 is faster than GNT3 overall, has better graphics (just look Zabuza’s new shining sword or Kakashi’s Raikiri Rendan now). Slowdown was in GNT3 as well so that isn’t new.
The combo FAQ looks cool, didn’t see this Kisame combo in there:
BBAAY…
…f+BY, f+BY, BBX/BBd+X <-might need to walk back some before doing the “f+B” parts.
…b+BY, BBX/BBd+X
S.Kakashi
d+BBBY, d+A <-actually unrollable if done fast enough or done in right spots of the stage.
Kidomaru
d+X, d+BBAY, BBBAY, u+A <-combo is unKnJable until the u+A special which doesn’t matter anyways since it turns the opponent around so Kidomaru can block the RKnJ.
Gen2000, nice Kisame additions (and cool other combos too). I added the Kisame ones to the current list. I also wrote down the others for when we start their respective sections. Keep 'em comin!
Oops, sorry about that, the Kidomaru combos involves BBAY, not BBBAY. The first one is performed midscreen, close to the wall and latter can be performed anywhere midscreen.
Yeah, this is by far the best in the series. I sitll wouldn’t put it at the level of alot of other competitive fighters but I do think it’s tourney worthy.
Sup Yha, uhmm…I’m really new to this Naruto shit but as yha can tell by myself a postin…I’m very interested.
So Yeah I’m from WI, and I guess I’m the only one from here that will rep. this state! So that makes all of you my rivals. And I will not tolerate 2nd place!!! I’m aware of www.willvolution.com, but this comp. is shitty so I’ll check the vids later!
So is there any fellow Garra players that can gimme some tips? He’s bad-ass, and if he isn’t top teir yet…then buddy, he will be soon! I haven’t played the game yet, but a heads up would be great!
Sorry to tell you, but sandman got toned down in the transition to 4. His guard can now be broken and I personally feel the L KnJ hurts him more than it helps him. Still decent though. Aside from the d+BAAAX set-ups and back+B usage, I don’t know too much about him. There was a nice post in the willvolution forums about some strategies you can still use in 4.
I am LOVING A.Hinata. f+bbaay then d+x = awesome. Only 75% chakra also. The cancel is so fast you can do it into a throw to another combo, anticipate knj and bust out the d+x
Whenever I play Gaara I turtle a lot, wait for an opening and punish with a d+baaax set-up.
You think if they gave everyone an airthrow in this game it would be I don’t know, like a million times better?
