Asuma, Anbu, Kurenai, and some exclusive characters made for the story will be in this game. And it’s gonna have a small bit of the jutsus from the 360 game integrated into the fight style.
yeah I’m a bit disappointed that they couldn’t put wifi in on this title but apparently the developers said that weren’t quite ready for it and they would rather have a focused more on the fighting game then putting in a half assed wifi. Next game perhaps ya know? Especially considering that out of the naruto fighting games I’ve played or seen so far…I enjoy the fighting mechanics in this series of games.
The only game of this series I’ve played is EX2 which didn’t really hold my interest for long. I hear a lot of complaints about that one though. Apparently this one is supposed to be more like GNT4 which was supposed to be the best in the series or something.
Rock and Guy…lol and I think that’s awesome that they got neji and hinata doing a double team…probably should take away a full bar of chakra in the process.
This game will be US only. And from the looks of it the engine is based off of GNT 4 and not the ex titles. It does have Ex elements within the title but if anything it’s an updated GNT 4 and based upon what I’ve heard so far…this is a good thing.
I saw that…I’m wondering if they’re going to continue making US exclusive games or are they just gonna start porting EX cause apparently with the US titles they’ve been listening to people who play the games in the tournaments and adjusting stuff according to what they want. If they do that for the EX titles then that could be pretty nice.
I can’t go into detail (mainly because I don’t remember them all), but most characters can’t even combo. There’s only about 9 tourney-worthy characters, while more than half of the rest are just too problematic within the game’s mechanics to function well…either that, or they just flat-out suck.
Compared to the GNT engine, EX just seemed to really screw up for some reason. I think the devs just rushed the EX games and didn’t take their time with the development. One thing is for sure though, EX 2 is a BIG imporvement over EX, but it’s still not as good as GNT 4.
I think I’m done importing Naruto games. Maybe if they get EX 3 right I’ll check it out.

I picked up the game and played a little bit with WarnaBrother. It feels different from gnt4 most definitely…especially since it seems they brought back the whole ‘you can’t do this super unless you’re less than 40% health’ thing. One thing I noticed immediately is that it feels like they nerfed Rock overall ( :sad: ), though I haven’t really got a chance to sit down and play everything…they did give Rock a ONE charge auto guard punch…=D…looks like i’m gonna have to focus more on breaking people’s shields. Overall the gravity feels a lot heavier in comparison to gnt4
I tried playing it at first with wii+mote and nunchuk to try to implement the jutsu thing into my game plan…I couldn’t get used to the controls even when they give you the option to make an attack a button instead of swinging the wii mote (they put the attack button on down on the control pad). Pros and cons to playing both styles I suppose…If you can master playing with the nunchuk and wii mote you get extra damage on supers and you can use the jutsu, along with auto aiming exploding tags which is actually sounds pretty useful. You can tag objects with an explosive tag and they don’t even have to be in your line of sight if you’re using nunchuk + wiimote. You won’t be able to deflect projectiles with that set up though.

Naruto + Jiraiya (you pretty much know what these 2 are gonna do)
Sasuke + Kakashi (you know what they’ll do)
Rock Lee + Gaara (was not expecting that…especially since the way it started was misleading at first lol)
2 anbu members (can’t remember their names)
Tsunade + Sakura (…ow!?)
