regarding registration cutoff times… registration cutoff time for Guilty Gear, MvC2(s), SSF4, and HDR is 2PM… Marvel 3 registration closes at 5pm to stop the bigger bracekts from getting hellish… every other subsequent tourney’s registration cutoff time is directly related to the tournament ahead of it; the mystery tournament registration gets cutoff when GG ends, and 3S doubles registration gets closed after the mystery tourney is summed up … i’ll update the OPs to reflect this
we’ve got a great level of ground swell, and it looks like we’re going to have some great weather this weekend (well atleast not freak ice storms)… i’m loving it… all the out-of-towners need to be prepared for a few things;
the scrub buffer, we’ve got a lot of word for NTC on the street, everyone thinks they’re the shit… our job is to simply hack our way through the scrub briar patch and get to the real meat of the comp
the sea of Vegas… we have a lot fo IN vega players… be ready
downtown traffic… simply put it sucks… I don’t want anyone exerting more than they have to, so if you got a lot of stuff to haul in i suggest parking in the mall’s lot, if you’re staying the night you might wanna keep the car at the hotel
we’ve managed to salvage our stream operation, we’ll have a lower key stream onsite provided by Naptown’s ZAP… we’re still testing the limits of our stream abilities, but as best i can i will get everything worth seeing some stream time, especially the GFs
as of right now we are completely on schedule, aside from the need of a mic or megaphone or a karaoke machine or something… aside from that we’ve got this well in hand and it’s looking like a fun weekend for everyone
oh yeah… we’ve got a hotel room lined up for a sorta afterparty… so if any of my cool friends are staying for the night, or need a place to party and crash let me know… maybe we’ll startup a high rollers tournament or something

I finally got my feet wet on MvC3 PSN last night…I recorded two sets of matches. Each set are about 20 min a piece featuring Renegade, Riot Guard, a few others from the Indy SRK crew and one or two randoms sprinkled into the crowd. Keep in mind this is Day 2 Online play…so your going to see some scrub / cheap tactics. This is pt. 1, pt. 2 of the set will be up later this evening.
As always make sure to watch in 720p. Oh also, as you can see this is the quality of match vids I can provide on my set up at NTC. But my streaming skills / equipment is not that great. So…we can either have GDLK replay vids to post on YouTube, or a subpar stream. You make the call G.

just got back from setting all the stations and stuff up, everything is looking sexy… here’s the rundown: Bottom level is ST, HDR, and the MM station. Middle level is DCs with MvC2 and all the PS2 games. and the top level will play host to MvC3, SSF4, and the stream. And then the back room will hold all the casuals and likely TvC and HDR teams, the Comicbook stall and the Villa Pizza stand will be out there aswell
some last minute info; the preferred garage to park at is called the ‘Rainbow Moon Garage’ or something, it has a skyway that leads straight into the mall and the first escalator you come to leads straight to the arcade. The garage itself in on Maryland St. right next to a restaraunt called ‘Noodles & Company’
Everbody needs to pay the venue fee up front to get your hand marked (since we don’t have wristbands no mo) unless you’re getting a waiver, we also need to count everyone, tournament sign ups will be just inside the theatre room, cept for TvC unless Nate wants to take registration with us… and trust me the waiver list is prolly gonna fill up fast so first come first serve
Only a few hours away. Can’t wait. Don’t worry ladies and gentlemen, I got enough hype to go around for SSF4 and Marvel 3. Chicago/IL will have at least one player top 3 in SSF4 and MvC3. You heard it here first.
Bleh, I was too late for the MvC3 registration, I was hoping for the whole “if you miss the registration period for your tournament but it hasn’t started yet, please see me or that tournament’s runner to see if you can be worked into the brackets” but that didn’t work out too well. Oh well, I’ll be there on time for NapTown Clutch 2
didnt win obviously but had a ball tonight. This was my first fighting game tourney in like 6 years. great atmosphere, great players, great time hands down
