Aww shit, NKI is in the house! Alright, sorry to do this, but I’m gonna drop CVS2…I’m just not feeling it. I may even drop TVC for Marvel, I’ll let you know soon.
What a guy!!!
:clapdos:
Hey don’t challenge me to any Remix $ matches. It would feel like a disgrace to the real ST in my mind. That would be like spitting on the American flag on the 4th of July or something. Remix is kinda dumb don’t you agree?
If you’re coming I have to come now so that I can give you Rex’s hat that has been sitting in my back seat since SB3. That will have made it 4 months by the time this tourney comes. I can only imagine how cold that hat must be since my vehicle sits outside all day and night.
Hey, now, Brent: don’t be too rough on HD Remix, bro. If it wasn’t for some of the important changes in HD I’d still be too intimidated to play any form of ST, thus missing out on the fantastic game that it is. Don’t think of it as spitting on the American Flag on the 4th – it’s more like “American” trucks and cars. They’re gas-guzzling beasts that epitomize Americans, but most of the parts come from over-seas. Still the good, ol’ standard we’re used to only with some parts we don’t agree with thrown in. :wgrin: Heck, even the Statue of Liberty, the absolute symbol of American culture, was a gift from France. lol
Either CvS 2 or guilty will probably get dropped depending on number of players anyway.
If CvS2 is 5 dollar put me in it.
Can we bring a Subway Sandwich as our entry fee for CVS2?
God damnit now that 5 dollar footlong song just popped in my head.
Thanks lol.
preregister me for 3s and SFIV
Some important information:
I have been thinking very long and hard about this one and at this point, considering all the people that have said they would like to reconsider their vote, myself included, I have resolved that both Seth and Akuma will be allowed. I repeat, Seth and Akuma will be allowed. I reviewed alot of footage among using other tools and right now I don’t see enough compelling evidence to warrant a ban. If anything the tourney will show whether or not something needs to be done about Gouken, but I digress.
Furthermore, the first post has been updated with a code of conduct. This will not be an issue for pretty much all of you. It is only there so that we have the legal footing we need to get rid of any troublemakers and ensure an enjoyable tournament environment for everybody.
Yes folks, believe it or not some people have MM’s and suddenly get amnesia. i.e. a local player I won’t name.
ok so to clear things up like, we can’t map say like medium kick and medium punch to the same button in street fighter 4 correct? What if that is setup as a default button in the console version? May we still use it? Just wondering.
I’m going to say no. I’m striving for as close to arcade perfect as we can reasonably attain. Not only that but Final Round will be handling things the same way so its nice to have some consistency for those that are going to Final Round.
if your gonna try to keep it arcade perfect then it should be played on an arcade machine. i understand the reasoning behind this but you also have to realize that your not playin it on an arcade machine your playing it on a console and default is default but hey ill be usin my 6 button stick so i wont have button mapping anyway…just my 2 cents
What he means is in terms of major tourney rules not actually playing on the machine. Most tourneys don’t allow mapping to try to mimic the arcade controls and because that’s always how it’s been, not specifically just playing on a cabinet. No mapping is set in stone.
I don’t really care that much I just wanted clarification on the rule, and also I need to know which way to practice, because there’s only gonna be like 2 or 3 days of practice for street fighter iv before this tournament.
Just to reiterate: I am selling my hard-modded, silver, slimline PS2 for $100. It has a Matrix Infinity chip installed, and it will play all games (hard and burned), regardless of region. I looked into shipping, and I can have to you guys in Indy in a few days for about $10 more. Something to consider since I know folks are always needing extra multi-regional systems at tourneys. Ironically, my system happens to be sort of a tourney veteran. :wgrin: If anyone is interested just send me a PM, and we can work out the details.
Also, like I said, earlier, Indy: un-reg. me, if you haven’t already, since worked denied my request off for that weekend. Thanks.
Duly noted Mike, its a shame you can’t make it man.
The lone warrior from Champaign rides again.
ya i understand im just sayin for example 3s has no 3x buttons set to it by default so ya no button mapping in the game but other games like cvs2 and kof98um have them on the default controls and those should be ok thats all i was gettin at…but i doubt sf4 will have any set to default anyway. i just dont like it when ppl tell me i cant play my console game on console default at a tournament where the game is being played on a console thats all.
