So, I just got back from work to put in my request-off for the tourney, and they said that I can’t. Apparently, there are 3 other people that have already requested that weekend. This is such a load of bullshit, and stack on this the fact that I only get to work, like, 2 days a week anymore. I need to find a new fucking job…

I’d rather do teams 3s instead of a regular singles tourney, honestly, to shake things up. It’s hard to see time for both singles and teams happening with so many games already.

The team idea sounds like fun but it won’t be if they are unbalanced. SBO style but with double elimination. How would it be done by region? Not saying this will happen but we’ll see.

Ok I’m trying to work out a ride situation to get to this. I’m like 50/50 at the moment.
Just assuming for a second that I make it out, who all is wanting $ matches on HDR and SF4? I’ve noticed a few requests floating around but haven’t responded until now. Trying to get stuff worked out to see if I can make this event.
On HDR I’d prefer no Akuma in my $ matches. If you want to match me and feel you must use Akuma let me know in advance and I’ll decide if I want it or not.
In SF4, I have no clue. Haha. Vega is allegedly the absolute worst character in the game so I guess I’ll be the underdog going into each match. People should be fighting like mad to get matches with me in this game.
Hey, a Vega was on the winning 3v3 team at Cali Regionals, so there is hope for him yet.

SF4 is better than 3s IMO.
HDremix has almost killed my complete interest in 3s as well.
However, 3s Akuma has rekindled something for me in 3s. Get ready to be kara demoned 
Oddly enough, HD killed my hunger for 3rd for about 2 weeks. I just realized I’m not a big ST head…I mean I’ll humor someone in a game or two, but I just don’t like ST’s pacing and special system. That being said I’m loving SF4’s.
Actually, Dhalsim just won the Japan National tourney, beating a guy who played Sagat. (Daigo didn’t even make it to the top 8 with his Ryu)!!!
SO just because Vega is the lowest tier in the game, doesn’t mean he can’t wreck some fools.
(F.Y.I. Dhalsim is in the 2nd to last tier in the rankings).

Alot of people are expecting 3s to take the place of Turbo. HDR renewed some interest but for the most part it’s the exact same game with very minor changes other than graphics overhaul. ST was the same level of fun for me as HDR after the novelty of the new sprites wore off in about an hour or two.
The one new character they have is apparently broken so that kills the fun for adding a new play style.

I see what you did there. HNK’s character roster is all broken so it balances out, lol. Akuma is apparently in a different league than the rest of the ST roster even in Remix. I don’t know much about the game anyway. I could be very wrong.
Doesn’t matter to me really, I’m bad at everyone on there. Just taking the advice of the ST veterans.
SF:HD has revived interest in ST for sure, but yeah, it’s still ST’s engine and feel. I wish they would update Hyper Fighting, haha.
It’s too bad they’ll never rebalance SF3, a game that could be played forever if they did.
